If you want to eat there during rush hour, it may be useful to make a reservation in advance, as the restaurant is sometimes crowded.

Concerning the elevated restaurant, the menu is varied, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The staff is very attentive and the food is of high quality, we enjoyed it. The only small negative aspect is that Toorak Central is not in the most glamorous area of Suva but you will reach very quickly the city center of Suva on foot (5-10 minutes).

The restaurant doesn't overlook the sea like most others in the area, but the quality of its cuisine more than makes up for this. It's even nice to be a little away from the tourist area, while still being a 5-minute walk from Wailoaloa's hotels. We recommend the vegetarian dishes, which are very good, but the restaurant also has a very good reputation for its meat dishes. To top it all off, the staff are extremely helpful and attentive.

The principle is the same, with a cuisine prepared by a chef under your eyes. We will not miss the house specialty, the creamy shrimps! The menu is delicious, the dishes remain affordable and the service is fast. If you are in need of sushi or other Japanese dishes, do not hesitate to try this restaurant in the heart of Suva.

That said, it can be nice to take your food to go and have lunch in Albert Park or at the Thurston Botanical Garden. The curries are tasty, the decor kitschy and the place usually crowded. The food is hearty, a very good value for money for a meal between two visits to Suva.

A nice place for an aperitif with beer or kava according to preference, beautiful view on the island of Wakaya. The digestion walk after the meal in the vicinity of Ovalau Holiday Resort will be pleasant and it will be an opportunity to take a look at the boat that ran aground at the time of Cyclone Winston in 2016 and which since decorates the landscape with coconut trees nearby.

You can enjoy a good coffee with a sandwich before going for an improvised walk in Thurston Gardens. We advise you to look at their Facebook page, very active, to keep you informed of particular events concerning the café during your visit, for example for exceptional openings on Sundays (it can be open on Mother's Day Sunday) or for evening openings.

You will have the possibility to eat on the terrace or inside, in the room which is decorated with posters of movies that were filmed in Fiji. As cobblers are often the worst shod, we weren't able to dine there, but we did enjoy the very pleasant surroundings over a drink, which was already a very satisfying end to a day's sightseeing. Crab is 70 F$ and other seafood dishes are available (and some meat for carnivores). The terrace is shared with another restaurant, the Beach Bar & Grill.
