MANOIR DES SAPINS - AUBERGE DE JEUNESSE
Read moreA real favorite for this address, still little known to travellers! Just under 15 minutes from Matane, this former "village hotel" offers a friendly, authentic and relaxing stopover before the city. Run by Aurélie, Didier and Claudine (Aurélie's mother), the inn has several comfortable private rooms, decorated in a retro and flowery style and impeccable and well arranged dormitories. On the ground floor, you can enjoy the superb view of the St. Lawrence River while enjoying the delicious pancakes from the Les Gamineries café. Near the hostel are Sainte-Félicité Beach and the friendly coastal path (ask Aurélie for all the information).Several evenings a week, in summer, take a seat around the Table du chambreur, which offers a delicious low-cost meal prepared with vegetables from the vegetable garden, especially for the inn's guests. In the lobby, you will notice photos of singer Isabelle Boulay, who gave her first shows at the Manoir, as well as other curiosities about the role of this historic hotel in the small community of Sainte-Félicité, which definitely bears her name well. Be careful, the warm atmosphere of the Manor forces many to extend their stay... It's your turn to test your resistance to the power of the Manor!
