At the heart of the Park Hyatt lies this Middle Eastern lounge on the banks of the Creek, illuminated by the yachts. As the sun sets, you can enjoy the intense fusion of nature and chic on the terrace while smoking a hookah. It's a little detour that's well worth taking after an intense day in old Dubai, wandering through the souks and neighborhoods of Shindagha and Al Fahidi. On the 63rd floor of The Address Downtown Hotel, this cocktail bar flirts with vertigo. We love the climb that forces us to change elevators for the last step, and suddenly projects us in front of the spectacle of Burj and his vassals. A slight tingling sensation in our legs as we approach the bays over the deep emptiness, but the space with its Art Deco decoration, architecturized by astonishing pillars encircled by silver rings, immediately calms us down. In the "village" of Miramar, free access for residents and paying for others, a trendy club without equivalent and even to Dubai. At peak hour, roughly on Thursdays and Friday, the bouncer climbs the guard near the red carpet leading to the dancer temple, history to credibilize the ibizien trip. Located on the pretty Al Bandar marina, just across from Yas Island, the Ornina lounge bar looks like it's just sitting on the water's edge. Its bizarre wooden parallelepiped shape is noticeable from afar. From Ornina's cozy terrace, you can catch the last rays of sunlight of the day while sipping one of the many house cocktails. Bateel is a chain of date shops and restaurants well known throughout the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf countries. The café, located in the inner courtyard of the Alserkal Cultural Foundation, amidst the arches of the restored house and surrounded by exhibition rooms, is a little gem of coolness and creative energy in which to take a break between visits to the historic buildings of the Al-Fahidi district. For those in need of fresh air, the rooftop terrace, amidst the wind towers, is just as fashionably decorated as the first floor. Here, you can enjoy a coffee, a smoothie or a virgin Mojito.

Stratos, the capital's only revolving restaurant and lounge bar, is located on the 26th floor of the very chic Royal Meridien. Surrounded by glass windows, so that you don't miss a single crumb of the 360° view over the city, the place is a real eye-catcher. It is the perfect address to come and try a high tea in the afternoon or at sunset, or to have a drink at the end of the evening and watch Abu Dhabi sparkle

This Irish tavern is located in the Al Raha Beach Hotel. The first McGettigan pub opened in Dublin in 1960. And in Abu Dhabi it has the winning formula: affordable drinks, a relaxed atmosphere, quality live music, broadcasting of major sporting events, and attentive staff. Overlooking the Creek, in the yacht club, Cielo, with its all-white and blue decor, is reminiscent of the Balearic Islands. The chic rooftop is as much a place to watch the sun set over the waters of the Creek and the city in the distance, as it is a place to sway to fashionable rhythms after dinner (in one of the yacht club restaurants nearby, for example). A veritable temple to the Spanish party, Cielo serves tasty tapas and cocktails with Mediterranean names. Worth the trip!

Located on the beautiful beach of Ajman Hotel, the place is an ideal choice to admire the sunset while sipping a cocktail. The hardest part will surely be choosing where to sit: lounges for two facing the waves, a table with your feet in the sand or a teak patio overlooking the sea. Then, all you have to do is decide which drink to have, and why not offer yourself a shisha, to enjoy the perfect calm that this improved hut offers to visitors in search of romance. Small menu.

This establishment is the oldest shisha café in RAK. It was opened more than 40 years ago by Ali Ahmed al-Ghais, who after working as a fisherman and bricklayer in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, decided to try his luck as a coffee shop owner. Since Mr. Ghais' death, his son Adel has taken over. The place comes to life once the sun goes down, when the air gets a little cooler: the locals gather around a shisha to play backgammon, dominoes or cards, while sipping tea or hot coffee, often until late at night.

Located on the 9th floor of the Double Tree Hotel, the view of the sea from this partially outdoor bar is simply stunning, and the sea breeze is quite pleasant, especially at sunset. The service is efficient and the atmosphere relaxed, the perfect place to relax with a cocktail in hand. A shisha menu is available and they also have a menu with some food options. Atop the Crowne Plaza Hotel, an eagle's nest margarita den around the aerial pool. Away from the car rumors, these luminous towers set a "Lynchian" scene. We are at the controls of the jet. One goes there especially to sip a cocktail and to curl up in the arms of the sofas and armchairs that border the pool. As its name suggests, Le Rosé Lounge at Cove Beach has made rosé wine its star. The place is beautiful, at the very end of BlueWaters Island, nestled within Caesars Palace. That's where the sun goes down, not far away, so we recommend it for a late-afternoon drink, preferably on weekdays to avoid the (large) bimbo crowds on weekends. While the skyscrapers are just behind us, the view of this magnificent beach and the Arabian Gulf is unreal. If you're a fan, Wednesday is rosé all day long.

1 OAK, translate: One of a kind. The famous New York nightclub has landed in Dubai with success. The interior is ultra design: geometrical forms from the floor to the ceiling, Darwin quotes on the wall and works of the Israeli artist Roy Nachum. The whole thing is fascinating. It takes about 20 minutes to get in and to give yourself the best chance, make sure you are well dressed! Gentlemen, unless you are a celebrity, put on a shirt and shoes and forget about sporty accessories. RnB music, hip-hop.

In this restaurant on the rooftop of the Oberoi Hotel in the Business Bay area, there is a lounge offering beautiful cocktails, live music on Mondays and a superb ladies night on Wednesdays. It is best to book in advance to ensure a seat on the Terrace. DJ, good music, beautiful view of Downtown and the Burj Khalifa. Then smoking a Shisha while enjoying one of their famous cocktails like the Tamarindo Shrub is a delight. As in all the trendy places in the city, sophistication in dress is the order of the day.

Set within the grounds of the beautiful guesthouse of the same name and in the historic district of Shindagha, this place enjoys splendid views of the Creek, which can be admired by sitting directly on the pedestrian promenade. The name Barjeel translates as wind tower, an architectural symbol of the whole neighbourhood. The café is well sheltered from the sun during the afternoon and you can enjoy a fresh fruit juice or a coffee, why not accompanied by some hummus and Arabic bread. The perfect place to let yourself go for a stroll.

Here, in the heart of the Hilton Hotel, is one of our favorite shelters in town, in this immense garden bordered by a swimming pool! But only when you manage to grab a free couch to drink a bucket at the time of the green ray or later under the stars, won over by the welcome coolness of the large pool nearby. It's an all options bar that offers cocktails, Lebanese snacks or lamb chops and the possibility to smoke hookahs as well. A real moment of happiness after trotting in this so large city!

It's right next to the Qattara palm grove that you can find this café. It can be reached on foot either by crossing the oasis or by car around it. An ideal break to enjoy the local life. An orchestra enlivens the evenings in the sweet smoke of the hookahs, the sounds of lively conversations and the exclamations of the electronic poker players. Only one concern, we don't want to go back down so much we feel good there.

Once past the rather bizarre entrance, which is via the Oberoi hotel's parking lot, you arrive at Iris, on the ^27th floor. Overlooking the urban jungle of Business Bay and the Burj Khalifa, this indoor-outdoor bar-restaurant is one of the current successes in terms of parties. A DJ entertains a beautiful and chic clientele who come to enjoy perfectly mixed cocktails from sunset until closing time. On weekends, a band is in charge of the animation. An address a little expensive, but worth the detour.

LookUp is located in the City Walk area, in this charming hotel by the pool: a full-length bar offering a panoramic view of the Burj Khalifa and the skyscrapers of Downtown, and for that alone, it's really worth the detour, as the view is spectacular and breathtaking. It's often crowded and it's a chic and casual clientele, loyal, who meet especially on weekends to enjoy the evening breeze. You can also order some snacks to accompany your cocktail.

Among the more than 30 stops at the Madinat Jumeirah lake resort, this is our first answer to the question: "I'm looking for a chic and charming bar, with a few tapas to nibble on, clever cocktails and above all a view of the sea and the Burj Al Arab." The Bahri is where James Bond has his dry martini prepared by a Persian barmaid with Persian eyes. It is in a colonial decoration back from Asia, that comes to relax a peaceful and distinguished clientele to sip a last cocktail and to take full sight.

Welcome to one of the trendiest beach clubs in Dubai. Regularly nominated as one of the best places to party, Cove Beach is located on BlueWaters Island not far from the Marina district. It offers a breathtaking view of the sea and especially the sunset. Booking a table at the Lounge is more than recommended to avoid disappointment. On the client side, it is the sophisticated and international youth who come to wiggle their hips to the rhythm of the DJs or artists present until very late in the evening.

Having tea at the Aspen Café, to the sound of the harp, with a view of the ski slopes in the middle of the desert - no, it's not a bad movie or a dream, it's Dubai, the city of all possibilities, and you have to experience it to believe it. So why not take a well-deserved break in the Kempinski lobby to recharge your batteries? Between the mini sandwiches, scones and all the pastries (everything is delicious), you'll have more than replaced the lunch you forgot to take... absorbed in shopping in this sprawling mall!

Admittedly, the waiters are a bit over the top, but this small, simple and very inexpensive cafeteria is very well located on the banks of the Creek. If you come here in the late afternoon or after dinner, it's the ideal place to smoke a little shisha, while admiring the ballet of abras on the water, the wind towers of the Shindagha district and the blue dhows loaded with household appliances on their way to Iran. A well-deserved break before perhaps heading off to the spice and gold souk for some final shopping.

You'd think you were in Miami at the entrance of the hotel with the pool in the lobby decorated with wooden sculptures in the shape of DNA molecules, and in Ibiza at the penthouse on the ^16th floor. The atmosphere is rather like a big party, rather (very) bimbo, the music is good and the alcohol flows freely! While you sway on the open-air dancefloor you can't miss the view of the city on the south side and the illuminated towers of the Marina on the north side. It's all about partying, and letting the time fly by.

A must-see address in the Emirati capital, Ray's Bar is located on the ^62nd floor of the Conrad at Etihad Towers, and boasts sumptuous views of the Abu Dhabi skyline and the Arabian Gulf. The elegant monochrome decor is discreet and leaves room for the view. A team of talented bartenders are on hand behind the bar; they're friendly and always open to discussion, and if you can't find what you're looking for in the long list of drinks (ten pages long, after all), they'll concoct a made-to-measure cocktail for you.

In the basement of the Rotana hotel, a few steps away from Fort Jahili, dive into the heart of one of the most stylish sports bars in the area. Very well decorated with a beautiful and bright bar, a large pool table, a table soccer and large screens to watch the sports competitions. On the menu, a delicious snack menu with everything from wagyu burgers to nachos, fries and more! And... even a few dishes for vegan fans. Selected clientele, and a great atmosphere especially on Fridays and Saturdays.

It is in the heart of this small shopping center, not far from the mangroves that this superb café is located. A trendy and very decorative universe, with the feeling of being in a Zen attitude case, so much so that you don't know where to sit. Perfect for taking a break, teleworking outside your hotel room. And then there are the wonderful coffees, selected, which turn each cup into a journey. The pastries are delicious as is the selection of salads and sandwiches. Several vegan options.

Installed in the Alserkal warehouses, the room is cosy, with a few sofas and old cinema armchairs for a really offbeat atmosphere. After taking your ticket at the box office, you take your boiling chai, before entering the darkened room to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of an auteur film. Sometimes the program honors a country, a director or a theme. It's deliciously offbeat when you're in Dubai and it's so nice not to know where you are when you leave. Films in French are regularly screened.

One of the best Levantine patisseries in the emirate is located on lively Muraqqabat Street in the middle of Deira. Customers order by the kilo what they will take home to complete their Friday lunches. Those nostalgic for real Oriental pastries will have a field day. Don't hesitate to tell them you'll be traveling with them, and they'll not only recommend which ones to take, they'll wrap them up just right so that they're still fresh on your return.

To access the Emirates, in a chic and hushed decor, going to the lobby café is an excellent way. If you go in the morning, you can choose between the camelccino, a cappuccino made with camel milk, and the very chic café au lait with 24-carat gold petals. Each coffee is served with succulent dates. In the afternoon you can go forafternoon tea with small sandwiches and traditional scones, all to the sound of the harp or the violin. A wonderful way to experience the palace life at least once. Reservations are recommended.

The escape game is an easy-to-understand concept. You and your team are locked in a labyrinth, and you have one hour to get out by solving puzzles, rummaging around and manipulating mechanisms. At the start, you choose your universe, and we chose "Lost in Time" - difficult, but we managed it, and then we tried again with "Z-Virus" (a universe based around a deadly virus....), and we didn't succeed. Please note that you need a good command of English. If you get out of Z-Virus in less than 60 minutes, let us know!

Nama is located on a platform between the fountains and the hotel gardens. It's the perfect bar-restaurant to sit at sunset, even if the sun has a bad habit of setting behind the mountains. The DJ is at the helm, a cocktail in hand, a few snacks and the evening is off to a good start. You can perfectly extend it by staying for dinner and end the evening with a shisha. A must-see whether you stay in the hotel or in one of the neighbouring hotels!
