CANAL DE BEAUREGARD

Also known as the “slave canal”, the Beauregard canal was built at the end of the 18th century to produce energy and irrigate the valley. Today, it welcomes adventurous hikers who can walk 3.5 km up the canal on its edge. The paved path is very narrow, alternating passages in dense forest and on the hillside. In single file, make sure not to make a false step, and the first one will have for mission to unearth the small yellow crabs who live in the waters of the canal.
