The horticultural plantation is still run as a family business, now with Harold Marraud des Grottes, who has launched Fleurs lointaines. The principle is simple: flowers grown as naturally as possible are cut and harvested the same day they are flown to mainland France. Fleurs lointaines is renowned for its respect for nature.

The nursery's vocation is to apply the principles of syntropic agriculture, which are autonomous, resilient and protectiveof the environment. The nursery now produces thousands of plants a month. Seeds are harvested in their natural zones, placed in micro-cots or bamboo pots before being fed in greenhouses with natural nutrients and then marketed.
