What's very local
Open-air swimming pools in the waters of Copenhagen harbor, a guarantee of water quality! It's almost a ritual to dive into the canals in winter or into the waters of the Baltic, dressed as Eve or Adam! Vinterbadning is a tradition throughout Denmark. They say it firms you up!
As far as the pool-sauna is concerned, you need to take a shower before swimming or splashing around in the pool. You'll be given a sponge soaked in soap when you go into the cabin. Please note that some establishments are closed in summer, particularly in July, or have modified opening times compared with the rest of the year.
Walk on a bridge! Bridgewalking... The only country after Australia to offer this kind of experience 60 m above the ground! Bridgewalking Lillebælt is a unique attraction in Europe, and takes place in Middelfart (Fionie).
Diving in winter in the Faroe Islands, when the water temperature is around 4/6 degrees. Visibility, around 30 meters, is best when the water temperature is low. It's the best time to take photos! Faroe Dive organizes scuba dives for deep-sea enthusiasts.
Your documents please
Some companies allow you to rent electric or solar boats with a capacity of up to eight people without any specific qualification or license. You must be over 18 years old. This is the case in Copenhagen, you sail around the canals and the harbor. For yachts or sailboats, if you are not accompanied by a skipper or a crew, you need a coastal license.
For the Faroe Islands, you can find more information about boat rental at Boat.fo.
