All the docks, equipped with water and electricity, sanitary facilities, are secured by video surveillance. Special terminals are reserved for American standard boats.

During the Second World War, this pier was the rallying point for volunteers who left for Dominica to try to join the Free French Forces. A lighthouse, built in 1948, dominates this pier. The area is provided with bars, restaurants, stores of all kinds. It is very busy during the tourist season.
