This small establishment doesn't look like much, but it serves delicious food. It is a Thai restaurant located on the beach of Bang Po, specializing in seafood. It is frequented as much by tourists as by locals, which is a guarantee of quality. Wooden tables and chairs are placed on the sand, where you can sit in the shade in the open room. It's excellent and the rates are very low.

Chef Gao worked in some of the finest restaurants on the Côte d'Azur before settling in Bophut with his wife. Two types of cuisine are offered: Thai and French, Mediterranean and Provençal. Half-cooked tuna with exotic sauces, fish of the day, porcini ravioli, 7-hour-cooked lamb mice, also very good meat from Australia. Dessert was also top-notch, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream surrounded by a warm doughnut covered in strawberry coulis. A real treat!

Without a doubt the best option for dinner. The place has a modern architecture, with a large terrace and wooden furniture. It serves Isaan and local specialties. The food is authentic, so be careful with the chillies! The dishes are carefully prepared. The restaurant offers a wine list, which is rare enough to be highlighted. You can also sit at the counter of the small bar for a drink. It's a little more expensive than other establishments, but the prices are honest. To be discovered.

Excellent Thai specialties served with feet in the sand and eyes in the water. Wooden tables and chairs, delicate presentation of the dishes and a smiling team. This small restaurant, facing Lake Chong Kham, is made of brick and wood. The decor is rustic but pleasant. It serves northern Thai specialties, such as Khao Soy, and Burmese specialties, which are a little "Westernized". A few international dishes are also on the menu. The Salween offers breakfasts made with homemade bread. This is one of Mae Hong Son's most popular spots, not only for its location, but also for its varied cuisine and good value for money.

The IDA is the place of predilection of the youth of Phimai. You can eat, drink and watch a concert. Rock atmosphere in this warehouse style room with brick walls where Harley exhaust pipes are hung. It has a high ceiling and two floors. On the menu: Thai specialties and some steaks. The most impressive thing is the beer list, with many local and international beers! Right in the center of town, this typically Chinese establishment is located on the second floor (above a large parking lot). It's a large room with a canteen atmosphere, but the quality of the dishes is quite good for the prices. Prices are in fact for dishes for 2 to 8 people: practical for group dinners. Communication with the waiters is a little difficult, as their level of English is very low, but the menu includes a few photos, which makes it easy to understand! A good address.

The popularity of this restaurant lies more in its setting than in its cuisine. Located facing the river, in a beautiful traditional wooden building, you can choose to sit on the floor around small tables or, more typically, sit on the sides with hanging legs (which gives the restaurant its name). Very few à la carte dishes: soups with egg noodles or rice noodles, most often with pork. Pad thai and hors d'oeuvres are also available, including excellent pork toast.

Restaurant with terrace on the banks of the Wang River. Beautifully decorated entirely in teak. The cuisine is decent, the menu varied and the prices reasonable. You can come just for a drink. For atmosphere, live music orchestrated by Thai bands, in the evening from 8 or 9 pm. The neighboring restaurant, called The River, offers more or less the same services, but with a slightly nicer view.

Coriander in Redwood, Mae Sariang's first restaurant, is located in an old traditional teak house dating back almost a century. It is managed by the Riverhousehotel Group and is located on the banks of the Yuam River. It serves excellent Thai specialities and some very good Western dishes. The prices are low, including for beer. Undoubtedly the best place for a quality dinner, in a charming and full of character place, with a superb view of the river.

This small establishment is located opposite Riverside Restaurant, close to Kad Kong Ta Market. It was founded in 2011 by an Anglo-Thai couple who will welcome you with a smile. The menu features a wide range of Thai and international dishes, pizzas, desserts, ice creams, smoothies, coffees and a variety of spirits. The place is very cosy, and is located on the first floor of the owners' house! Pool table, TV room for sports events and terrace on the Wang River side. Relaxed atmosphere.

In an enchanting setting right on the water's edge, with an unobstructed view of Patong Bay, you will taste a quality fusion cuisine. Urbani truffles are the specialty of Italian chef Andrea Donazzan. The fish and seafood specialties are available in several recipes, including some tempting choices of platters. A popular café-restaurant in the region! It's a pleasant place, nestled in a large green garden. The menu features traditional dishes brilliantly executed, including a tempting shrimp pad thai, delicious crab recipes and excellent curries. Flavours to die for! Two options for seating: on the terrace or in the lovely air-conditioned dining room. Great choice of home-made pastries and cakes. One major drawback, however: you'll need to reserve and place your order several weeks in advance!

Yong Poo Ob, or Yong Pu Aob, is Thai for the local specialty: crab. The place looks a little cold from the outside, but the inside is warm and carefully decorated. Right next to the guesthouse of the same name and the Sinkiat Thani Hotel, this colourful local restaurant is run by a little Thai lady called On. The establishment is split in two, with a restaurant part and another bar opposite, but both serve food. The room is very pleasant, and one eats both traditional Thai specialties and a very successful western cuisine. It's the best place in town.

This rather chic restaurant plays the card of diversity with of course Thai specialties, seafood, but also European dishes, pizzas and very good burgers. On Sundays, the place turns into a British rotisserie, one of the specialties. A variety of breakfasts are also available. The terrace, with its bamboo furniture, is very pleasant in the evening, especially thanks to its nice soft lighting. Good quiet music. Attentive service. One of the best places in Noppharat for dinner.

As you wander the streets of Khon Kaen, you'll quickly realize that there's a large Vietnamese community. Baan Heng is one of the city's many restaurants serving Vietnamese specialties, and arguably the best. The establishment is on a street corner and occupies three floors. The sober, modern decor is pleasing, and the service pleasant. Try the fried eggs served with sausages and bread, accompanied by a strong black coffee. On-site boutique offering quality products.
