MO’CHIT BUS TERMINAL (CHATUCHAK)

Although it is primarily focused on the northern and northeastern regions (Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Nong Khai, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, etc.), some buses also leave for the west. Just go to the information booths and ask the helpful and knowledgeable staff which counter to use for your desired destination. The terminal is far from the city centre, but it is close to the Mo'Chit BTS station.

Read moreAPG is a small airline operating on short destinations in Thailand, where the other companies generally cannot insure flights. Indeed, its fleet consists of small aircraft «Cessna 208 B», a maximum of 12 seats. They fly over the territory at an altitude low enough to enjoy a splendid panoramic view. Since Bangkok, APG has been the only airline providing Hua Hin flights. From Chiang Mai it is possible to reach Pai, Mae Hong Son and Chiang Rai. APG also has a privileged agreement with low cost Nokair company allowing you to benefit from preferential rates over long distances and easily reach small destinations with their aircraft by providing short connections.

Inside you will also find a small bar serving drinks and snacks. Tapee pier is another starting point for the islands (you can also leave from Surat Thani airport or train station with bus transfer). Departures for Koh Samui (Nathon pier, 1h45 drive), Koh Phangan (2h45), and Koh Tao (about 4h45 drive) are at 9h, 11h30 and 15h30.

The boat is quite small but comfortable, and it's a pleasure to observe the islands from afar during the crossing. Remember to book your ticket at least a week in advance if you wish to make the crossing during the Full Moon Party period. Koh Phangan to Koh Samui: departures at 9.30 am and 4 pm. From Koh Samui to Koh Phangan: departures at 10.30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
