WIGMORE HALL

Wigmore Hall, which enjoys very good acoustics, is particularly renowned throughout the world for its chamber music concerts and recitals. The 545-seat hall schedules more than 400 concerts per year! Most of them are broadcast on the BBC. It was originally built between 1899 and 1901 by C. Bechstein Pianofortefabrik, the German piano manufacturer, whose showroom was right next door. It was designed by the same architect as the Savoy Hotel in a Renaissance style. It is known for its excellent acoustics.

The groups on display in this large concert hall, which has been open since 1934, are of excellent quality. At the time of its creation, it was an art deco cinema. This room is still one of the favourites of Londoners who consider it one of the best in North London. It is vast and the consumption is also at reasonable prices. The acoustics are good and there are also some tables on the balcony. It was at the Forum that the School Disco evenings were inaugurated.

The Dingwalls is an absolutely mythical address in the heart of the Camden Lock market. The hall, with a capacity of 500 people, hosts concerts and a weekly comedy club. It has been a place for music since 1973! And one of the most famous live music venues in the capital. Bands like Les Clash, Les Sex Pistols or Les Pink Floyd have performed there. Blondie even made her debut there. More recently, it was Angel Olsen or Foals who honoured his scene... He is the musical and punk soul of Camden.

SHARMANKA KINETIC THEATRE

Welcome to a magical microcosm. Sharmanka was born in St. Petersburg in 1989 from the imagination of Eduard Bersudsky and, after having fascinated the whole of Europe, took root in Glasgow. For 55 minutes, you escape into a steampunk uchrony with characters made of wood and scrap metal. The poetic choreography invites you to daydream for young and old alike. Bewitching music, lighting effects and an incredible atmosphere are on the program. The show is in English.
