For over 30 years, this café-théâtre has been a benchmark in comedy. It's still one of the best comedy clubs in the capital, and we're not the only ones to think so: it welcomes over 3,500 visitors every week.

Wigmore Hall, which enjoys very good acoustics, is particularly renowned throughout the world for its chamber music concerts and recitals. The 545-seat hall schedules more than 400 concerts per year! Most of them are broadcast on the BBC. It was originally built between 1899 and 1901 by C. Bechstein Pianofortefabrik, the German piano manufacturer, whose showroom was right next door. It was designed by the same architect as the Savoy Hotel in a Renaissance style. It is known for its excellent acoustics.

A former theater in blood-red and gold, with balcony and dressing rooms, it has been transformed into a concert hall. The narrowness of the space lends an intimate atmosphere to the shows that take place here. You feel close to the band performing, savoring every note and every expression of the stage act. The place reopened in 2006, it was previously an address that had mainly hosted punk concerts before turning into a salsa club, and the most significant event was the arrival of The Clash. The acoustics are good and there are also some tables on the balcony. It was at the Forum that the School Disco evenings were inaugurated.

The Dingwalls is an absolutely mythical address in the heart of the Camden Lock market. The hall, with a capacity of 500 people, hosts concerts and a weekly comedy club. It has been a place for music since 1973! And one of the most famous live music venues in the capital. Bands like Les Clash, Les Sex Pistols or Les Pink Floyd have performed there. Blondie even made her debut there. More recently, it was Angel Olsen or Foals who honoured his scene... He is the musical and punk soul of Camden.

In addition to the contemporary music programme, three rooms are dedicated to classical music concerts: the Royal Festival Hall hosts orchestral music, the Queen Elizabeth Hall for orchestral chamber music, the Purcell Room for chamber music and recitals. Welcome to a magical microcosm. Sharmanka was born in St. Petersburg in 1989 from the imagination of Eduard Bersudsky and, after having fascinated the whole of Europe, took root in Glasgow. For 55 minutes, you escape into a steampunk uchrony with characters made of wood and scrap metal. The poetic choreography invites you to daydream for young and old alike. Bewitching music, lighting effects and an incredible atmosphere are on the program. The show is in English.

Leicester Square is London's cinema mecca, and this one is a great option. Thanks to its affordable rates and a line-up ranging from cinematic classics to the latest releases, the Prince Charles Cinema is particularly popular with Londoners. What's more, the cinema was renovated in 2022, offering even greater comfort. It's even possible to become a member and take advantage of great rates! As the West End's last remaining independent cinema, it certainly deserves continued support.

A rather prestigious theater whose aim for over 60 years has been to find, produce and stage new plays, and to promote them so that as many people as possible can discover them. The theater supports young authors and playwrights. The gamble seems to have paid off, as many of the plays that started out here have gone on to be performed in the West End's top theaters. A number of great actors regularly perform here, including John Malkovich, Jude Law, Faye Dunaway and Rupert Everett.

The Sherman Theatre presents a classical English repertoire as well as plays in Welsh. There are shows for children and families, comedy, dance... It reopened its doors in 2012 following a major refurbishment: new seats, creation of various public areas... From Monday to Saturday, you can also enjoy a drink or a bite to eat in the café-bar. The former streetcar depot in the west of the Welsh capital has been transformed to become the home of this arts and entertainment venue. People come here for all kinds of shows: live radio broadcasts, sport, music, dance... In terms of location, it's close to Cardiff station and within easy walking distance of the city center. With its relaxed atmosphere and friendly welcome, Tramshed is always a good place to spend an evening! Plus: the venue isn't too big, so you can make the most of the concerts.

Easily accessible, this ambitious arts center includes no less than three cinemas, three art galleries and a theater housing two companies, with a bar and restaurant. It's one of Britain's largest arts centers, with a rather modern program. The Anglo-Saxon fashion is for Broadway-style musicals, and the town often plays host to London-based troupes breaking new ground here. And Chapter's history lasts, since in 2021, we celebrated our 50th anniversary!

Founded in the 1980s by David Mossman, it used to be held in Stoke Newington, then moved to Dalston. Over 400 performances are scheduled each year. Coupled with the British Film Institute, the organizer of the famous film festival, the demanding programming and retrospectives attract a clientele of passionate film lovers who also enjoy discussing the films at the café next door just after the screening. It's an absolutely spectacular movie experience not to be missed if you're passing through!

When the red carpet is rolled out and the cameras set up, celebrity appearances are very likely, provided you arrive early. The rest of the time, programming focuses on large-scale productions and American films. Odeon cinemas offer a luxurious experience, with reclining seats for total relaxation during the film. THE independent cinema par excellence. Worthy of the French art house cinemas. A host of recent and non-mainstream films: auteur films, retrospectives, etc. are shown every night on one of the three screens of this cinema. If you want to make a canvas, it is the cornerstone of quality films in the city. It also hosts the Cambridge Film Festival every year in the autumn. It is the third largest film festival in the UK.

This Waterloo neighbourhood theatre promotes the performance of plays directed by young, up-and-coming and highly talented emerging directors, combined with plays by world-renowned directors. This results in an original programming, which is often on the fringes of other London productions. A programming in the spirit of the times that deals with current issues. An excellent theatre with an exciting subject, with a very friendly welcome, a diverse, cultivated and cosmopolitan audience and very reasonable prices.

The Tricycle Theatre is a cinema, theatre and art gallery whose mission is to best represent and support local cultural diversity, including many contemporary plays that address the problems faced by the Irish and Black communities (Kilburn's two immigrant communities). Opened in 1980, it is a place much appreciated by Londoners who love the diversity and quality of programming. In a less touristy area, it is really worth a visit.

Located in the centre of Cambridge, very close to the University, the Cambridge Arts Theatre presents classical pieces, starting with Shakespeare, of course, but also flamenco shows or jazz concerts... This theatre is very dynamic and offers a very wide programme. It is the only theatre with such a capacity (more than 600 seats) in the area, it was founded in 1936.
