Opening in spring 2012, The Sugarplum Tea room is the perfect place for a delicate afternoon tea welsh in a pastel-coloured doll's house. The atmosphere is really warm and welcoming, with its soft and lively spirit. We come here for breakfast until 11am, with gluten and/or vegan-free options for those who wish: from a delicious choice of pancakes, avocado toast and poached eggs to a snack and lunch. Bara brith, ice creams, cakes, but above all absolutely appetizing round creamy cakes.

Easily accessible, this ambitious arts center includes no less than three cinemas, three art galleries and a theater housing two companies, with a bar and restaurant. It's one of Britain's largest arts centers, with a rather modern program. The Anglo-Saxon fashion is for Broadway-style musicals, and the town often plays host to London-based troupes breaking new ground here. And Chapter's history lasts, since in 2021, we celebrated our 50th anniversary!

Facing the Thames, notice this large concrete cube that changes from blue to purple, this modern and very vast complex (of which actor Lawrence Olivier was the first director) includes three theatres: the Olivier Theatre, the Lyttelton and the Cottesloe. The program is varied and of high quality: musicals, classical plays, avant-garde shows... In addition to classical and paid programming, the theatre offers several free events throughout the year, including music concerts. Theatre tours are also available by reservation.

A spectacular facade with unusual shapes, a pub that dates back to 1863 and yet, inside, there is a modern atmosphere with a decoration that plays on glass, an original material for a pub. Five rooms are separated by wooden partitions, each with a door to the outside. This partitioning is a relic of the Victorian era when there was a separation between the different classes of society. An elegant restaurant is installed at the back, where you can discover refined and sophisticated dishes.

One of the best bars on the capital's south bank and in Brixton, which has lost none of its spice. Hootananny hosts concerts of ska, reggae, disco and other caliente sounds in an equally ebullient atmosphere. And when the weather's fine, don't miss its vast beergarden, where you can socialize until the wee hours of the night, when you're not swaying to the beat. You can sample Caribbean cuisine and sleep in the hostel to be at the heart of the action.

Granny Annies Kitchen is a gourmet pub. It offers on-site and takeaway meals, but does not offer a delivery service. Granny Annies is also renowned for its live music, with traditional and modern bands performing throughout the weekend. The pub offers seasonal cuisine prepared from fresh local produce, as well as an extensive wine list, classic and signature cocktails, and a selection of locally distilled gins and draught beers. The pub's atmosphere is unique, relaxed and eccentric.

The Fountain Lane is a lively pub where visitors can enjoy a meal on the premises. The pub does not offer takeaway or delivery services. On weekends, be sure to book ahead, as the locals have made it their HQ! On the menu: American cuisine (burgers, onion rings...) generously cooked with fresh produce, but also seafood chowder, the famous Irish fish soup, tasty meat and fish accompanied by seasonal vegetables or home fries. Great portions served in a warm atmosphere.

Near Roath Park, this café (attached to the Fish & Field restaurant which, by the way, is also worth a visit) is a hidden gem, admittedly a little out of the way, but well worth the effort! Trendy decor, smiling service and a relaxed atmosphere. You can enjoy good coffees, ice creams and vegetarian and gluten-free creations at one of the tables or in the comfortable armchairs. You take your time and enjoy the place and what it has to offer. The welcome is perfect, and if you need help or advice, the team is on hand.

This bar is quite out of the way, and reaching this new address of the Soho group, south of the Thames, is almost a pilgrimage. However, since its opening, the private club in this residential area has been sold out. Velvet armchairs and sofas, marble tables, brass lamps, vintage mirrors, and works by local artists make it an ideal setting for a drink in a confidential atmosphere. Please note: children are allowed in the club, but only until 6pm, and reservations are not possible for more than six people.

The setting is original - like an industrial warehouse - and lively, with huge vats of craft beers that feed directly into the pints. This brewery is known for its tasty unfiltered and unpasteurized beers. Perfect if you're then heading to Principality Stadium, just across the road. If you're hungry, let yourself be tempted by small appetizers such as Cajun shrimp, fried calamari... Before tackling mussels, pizzas, pastas or a variety of risottos. And we're even tempted by the mango beer...

A pub of character, the locals' favourite. According to tradition, it was built in 1410, during the revolt of Owain Glyndwr, but it is more likely to date from the Elizabethan era. In 1970, the building showed some signs of old age and during the renovation of the roof, superb murals were discovered, representing, among others, two horned devils, the Passion of Christ... They are still visible today. You only have to ask to see them.

Opening in March 2023 on the same site as the historic cinema of the same name (which was the first in Northern Ireland to screen talking pictures in 1929), this cinema has taken on the luxury niche. On site, you can of course watch films, but in an Art Deco atmosphere. Each of the nine rooms can accommodate 60 people for an intimate experience, in double seats or velvet armchairs. Each has its own table and footrest. The program includes the ultimate in cinema comfort, daring catering and a café.

It's so unusual to play table tennis in a bar between two cocktails! Open since October 2012, Europe's first social ping-pong club is always busy. If you haven't reserved a table in advance (on their website), expect to have to wait a while... Tables are available every day, for groups of all sizes. Here, they're not relegated to the back of the bar, but are the star attraction. What's more, this address is conveniently located in the cool Holborn district.

An impressive collection of self-service games in this central Cardiff café. Perfect for an afternoon with family or friends, the Scaredy Cats offers hot drinks and pastries as well as beers and ciders. Here you'll find teleworkers in the afternoon and a more festive atmosphere in the evening, where regulars gather for a beer. The large, welcoming room makes it easy to spend a pleasant moment at any time of day, and with a wide variety of games for all ages, there's never a dull moment!

A few years ago, the famous Pizza Express restaurant chain decided to start programming music events, with a particular focus on jazz. The result is one of the best jazz clubs in London, with a top-quality program. Obscure, chic ambience in a room where you're served food and drink. World and jazz music. In addition to Soho, the brand now offers two other locations: Pizza Express Live (Holborn) and The Pheasantry (Chelsea).

One of Dalston's most famous clubs, in lively Gillett Square. The almost daily program is quite eclectic, featuring a wide range of artists, from jazz, of course, to folk, funk and groove. Founded in the 1980s by David Mossman, it used to be held in Stoke Newington, then moved to Dalston. Over 400 performances are scheduled each year. After the concert, make like the locals and head to the Dalston Jazz Bar next door for a nightcap.

An address that is always full no matter what time you go there. If the tables at the entrance are crowded, because they are better located, it is the whole bar that is often full of people coming to have a coffee or sip one of the many cocktails on the menu. Close to Portobello, the bar welcomes, at weekends, exhausted bargain hunters taking a break between two shops. You can also eat there throughout the day, or drop in for a nice brunch. Not to be missed if you are in the neighbourhood!

Coupled with the British Film Institute, the organizer of the famous film festival, the demanding programming and retrospectives attract a clientele of passionate film lovers who also enjoy discussing the films at the café next door just after the screening. It's an absolutely spectacular movie experience not to be missed if you're passing through!

If you're looking for a chic break from the hustle and bustle of the city and want to relax in a distinguished atmosphere, stop by the Anglesea Arms. This pub, located in one of London's most exclusive areas, attracts an upscale and distinguished clientele while maintaining a relaxed and not stuffy atmosphere. The pub is also known for serving very good beers (for those who like them!) from independent breweries. Moreover, they serve a very tasty and copious cuisine, which will give you strength and energy!

This pub built in 1845 has kept its original style: etched windows, carved glass, carved wood, we can say that it has a certain charm. Located near the Tate Britain, it's a good place to take a break after visiting the museum, especially since the beer is good and so are the snacks. A quaint and strange anecdote, the pub is said to have a ghost, a prisoner who escaped from Millbank Prison and is said to still roam its cellars today. However, this does not spoil the atmosphere, which is very jovial!

The heart of Leicester Square has long been dedicated to cinema, becoming a must-see for major premieres. When the red carpet is rolled out and the cameras set up, celebrity appearances are very likely, provided you arrive early. The rest of the time, programming focuses on large-scale productions and American films. Odeon cinemas offer a luxurious experience, with reclining seats for total relaxation during the film. THE independent cinema par excellence. Worthy of the French art house cinemas. A host of recent and non-mainstream films: auteur films, retrospectives, etc. are shown every night on one of the three screens of this cinema. If you want to make a canvas, it is the cornerstone of quality films in the city. It also hosts the Cambridge Film Festival every year in the autumn. It is the third largest film festival in the UK.

Its reputation is well established: Concorde 2 is THE most famous company in Brighton and also one of the best live music spots in town. International bands and famous DJs perform on this stage and the classic club nights always attract a lot of people. Large groups have performed at Concorde 2, a place that has won several awards. Its sound and acoustic system is state-of-the-art and can accommodate up to 600 people each evening. A must if you want to celebrate!

It started out as an unpretentious pub, far removed from the hustle and bustle of central Oxford. Its concert hall enabled Radiohead to sign to their current label. And that's not all! The band Supergrass also played here in the early 1990s. Today, the pub is decked out in bright, garish colors. Beanbags are available, a jukebox plays the best indie tunes and the beers are really cheap. You can also enjoy inventive cocktails, gin and a wide variety of ciders.

The Salisbury pub is a real gem, dating back to 1899, and its decoration is quite simply sumptuous: bronze lamps sculpted in the shape of nymphs, fluted columns, cut-glass windows... You can eat typical dishes such as fish & chips, or simply have a drink. In addition to the decor, the beer selection is extensive; the establishment has won several awards for the quality of its pints, and the waiters will be able to advise you according to your tastes or what you're eating.

Once very popular with the talented Amy Winehouse, who lived in the area, Dublin Castle is a must in Camden! Rock, blues, ska and soul concerts are on the program. The room is small but warm, embedded in a corner of the establishment, but the atmosphere is warm and the sound is good, although thundering. Madness, Arctic Monkeys and Blur, among others, made their debut there. After the groups, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, DJs take over to continue the party.

The hour of glory of this institution has passed, because the sharp clubbers prefer more underground places but it still remains one of the emblematic clubs of London. It is an internationally renowned club, with one of the best sound systems in the city. We always meet a large crowd of enthusiasts in this place with its electric atmosphere that emanates from the evenings. Clubbers are taking their eyes and ears in. A very good line-up of international DJs like EDX, Nora en Pure, Sigma and many others.

Very well located near the canal, this charming pub, which has been in existence since 1867, offers a few tables set up on the sidewalk, which are very pleasant in summer. In winter, we head inside, where a fire burns in the back room. The decoration is that of a rural pub, with wallpaper on the walls, stained glass windows and hunting trophies here and there. You feel good and you appreciate the conviviality and the warmth of this typical pub where the years have passed slowly and which has kept the spirit of the old pubs.

This venerable public house opened its doors in 1871. It has stood the test of time and fashion, and has remained a reliable address right up to the present day. The decor is a skilful blend of tradition (warm-toned antique woodwork, fireplace, club armchairs and reading area) with a contemporary chic that's not without a few touches of minimalism, highlighting the raw wood and high ceilings. A convivial place to be at any time of day. The Bull& Gate is famous for its sunday roast.

Ty Gwyn is the village's must-see pub, nestled in a house dating from 1784. Locals and tourists alike appreciate it especially for its character and its Welsh music evenings on Friday evenings. You can listen to a live concert while tasting one of the beers on offer. We can also have a bite to eat there. The menu is without great surprise, we find the classic pub dishes, but the result works well and it's good! In summer and on sunny days, the sunny terrace is very pleasant with its few tables.

This Waterloo neighbourhood theatre promotes the performance of plays directed by young, up-and-coming and highly talented emerging directors, combined with plays by world-renowned directors. This results in an original programming, which is often on the fringes of other London productions. A programming in the spirit of the times that deals with current issues. An excellent theatre with an exciting subject, with a very friendly welcome, a diverse, cultivated and cosmopolitan audience and very reasonable prices.

The Tricycle Theatre is a cinema, theatre and art gallery whose mission is to best represent and support local cultural diversity, including many contemporary plays that address the problems faced by the Irish and Black communities (Kilburn's two immigrant communities). Opened in 1980, it is a place much appreciated by Londoners who love the diversity and quality of programming. In a less touristy area, it is really worth a visit.

This unique place in the famous Notting Hill district has been promoting music and artistic creation in general for more than ten years. A very beautiful program that, every evening of the week, reserves a different theme or atmosphere: soul, rap, funk, DJ, concerts... A tasty blend that will please everyone in an underground place, just know which night is yours. West London may be less famous than east for parties, but at the Notting Hill Arts Club you won't be disappointed, I promise!

The Drapers Arms is just around the corner from Canterbury's city center! Recently reopened, its typically English decor, spacious surface area and large sofas make you want to sit down, drink a good beer and watch a match on the big screen. The food is good, the staff are friendly, the cocktails are worth a detour and the atmosphere is very pleasant. With its large windows overlooking the street, you could stay for hours watching passers-by stroll by while sipping your Guinness or coffee.

The name is a nod to the World's End pub next door. The Underworld is run by one of England's largest breweries, which has cleverly arranged the premises to make it a friendly place. The concert hall - which hosted Placebo, Radiohead or the Cranberries in their early days - is separated from the bar, allowing you to sip your beer quietly, while enjoying the music. Recommended for beer and rock lovers. On weekends, the venue turns into a more eclectic club.

Located in the centre of Cambridge, very close to the University, the Cambridge Arts Theatre presents classical pieces, starting with Shakespeare, of course, but also flamenco shows or jazz concerts... This theatre is very dynamic and offers a very wide programme. It is the only theatre with such a capacity (more than 600 seats) in the area, it was founded in 1936. If you decide to spend the night in Cambridge, keep an eye on the program, it can be a good activity to occupy your evening.

In the cosy apartment of the imaginary Monsieur Fogg, a hidden bar houses potions, elixirs and other miraculous remedies collected by the traveler during his explorations around the globe. Affable and generous, he invites visitors to discover original cocktails served in medicinal flasks. The spirits are of excellent quality, but you'll also find some very good non-alcoholic cocktails, and a wide selection of beers and ciders for connoisseurs. There's no dinner on this menu, but plenty of options for nibbling.

In a pleasant setting, this bar and cabaret, which also serves as a restaurant, is well hidden in a small alley overlooking Mare Street, close to Regent's Canal. It caters for the district's trendy clientele in an atmosphere that remains relaxed and good-natured. Cabaret evenings are particularly popular, so check the program on the website. Piano brunches are regularly organized, but as they are very popular, it's best to book in advance. The perfect opportunity to spend a crazy evening in the company of drag-queens!

Hampstead is a breath of fresh air, far from central London and its hustle and bustle. This is one of our favorite neighborhoods. Let yourself be carried away by this village atmosphere into this charming gastropub, made of bricks and covered with flowers, located between the village and the park. The Wells is the image of the neighbourhood, warm, friendly, lively. It is a good traditional restaurant and a welcome stopover in an adorable street with flowered houses. The enchanting calm of Hampstead will enchant you to the point of spending the evening on the terrace on its wooden tables.

Pioneers, confirmed, beginners... the Institute of Contemporary Art since 1947 opens its musical horizon to all artists, for heterogeneous programs often centered on the mixture of music, dance and visual arts. You will also find many cinemas with avant-garde screenings, and a whole series of small independent cinemas featuring auteur films. Temporary exhibitions. And also a bar.

This sublime green-fronted café invites you to take a break. You'll love sitting in front of the large windows, admiring the church on the opposite street, and enjoying a delicious flat white. The owners emphasize products from local producers and offer succulent homemade pastries and sandwiches. There are vegan options, and the café transforms into a bar in the evening, offering wine and other spirits, even hosting small bands. Everything is pleasant, from the atmosphere to the staff.

If you're looking for a pleasant place to take a break, enjoy a coffee and homemade treats, all just a stone's throw from the cathedral, Grow Coffee House is the place to be! Barista coffees are made right before your eyes, and there's a choice of teas too. If you're feeling peckish, there's a brunch option with granola bowls and toast. You'll also find delicious pastries (many of them vegan): carrot cake, banana bread, cookies... In fine weather, the large terrace is ideal for enjoying homemade iced tea.

Founded in 1992, the Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) is the largest theatre group in the West End and contributes to the creation of some of the most innovative and successful productions each year. The programs are spiced up with more and more with each year several plays where the artists who play are actors from the world of cinema, known all over the world. The total list of participants would be too long but, just for fun, let us mention: Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGreggor, Don Johnson or Kristin Scott Thomas.

The typical English tea room in Canterbury! We love coming here to enjoy one of our famous cream teas, with a superb choice of over 30 teas and coffees. Scones, jams and clotted cream await you, as well as toast, English muffins, English crumpets, pudding, milkshakes, ice creams and pastries of all kinds... Tiny Tim's Tearoom also offers breakfast, brunch and lunch. A welcoming team, a cosy atmosphere... A must if you're dying for a delicious traditional snack in a beautiful setting!

Perfectly located, this Victorian-style pub blends seamlessly into the ^21st century with its modern furnishings. The advantage of this pub is undoubtedly its location, on the banks of the Regent's Canal that we love so much. It can be seen from the terrace or from some windows. The peaceful view of the warehouses and barges gives the place a pleasant, almost provincial atmosphere. We feel far from London when we are actually in the middle of the city, in Angel's neighbourhood. A large wine list at low prices and a fine selection of beers complete the assets of the place. Take the opportunity to take a short walk on the canal after or before.

Charming traditional pub built in 1901 and often animated. Every Sunday, we enjoy a live music concert, on Saturday it's karaoke and on Thursday it's time for the famous pub quiz! If you want to have fun and meet new people, these evenings are the perfect time to discover the atmosphere of Robin Hood. In the kitchen, from traditional roast to exotic tapas, there's something for everyone! For wood-fired pizzas, it's from Thursday to Saturday evening (7pm-9pm). Good news for our animal friends, dogs are accepted without any problem.

A traditional and popular pub, especially on Sunday evenings during the famous pub quiz. There's a good selection of traditional beers, and you can play darts while watching the match on the screens. There's also a pleasant beer garden to enjoy in fine weather. Ideal for a good frothy beer and a chance to meet Welsh people. In terms of service and atmosphere, it's very good and you feel like you're in a typical local pub. To make the most of it, come after 7pm or on a Sunday evening, otherwise the place can quickly seem deserted and very quiet.
