If there is one country that intrigues, captivates, attracts and surprises us, it is certainly Great Britain. On the other side of the Channel, this island can be discovered after a ferry crossing, a smart option to be able to pick up your vehicle and then walk around freely. Both a small island on the fringes of Europe and a great history-making kingdom, she is an old punk and eccentric lady, who displays her age with elegance and remains animated by the ardour of youth. To mention its simple name is to walk the hectic streets of London and walk the desert peaks of the Highlands. Deliciously full of clichés but always surprising, it is a diverse destination, with the diversity of its three nations: England, Scotland and Wales, each with its own unique identity. It is the work of a multitude of peoples and migrations that have succeeded one another and mixed in turn: the Celts, the Romans, the Vikings, the Anglo-Saxons, the Normans and, more recently, the diasporas from the four corners of the world. All of them have helped to shape its current face, that of a welcoming land where curry is a national dish in the same way as fish & chips.

A little like a good whisky, Great Britain has a different taste for everyone, it is appreciated by taking your time, sometimes with a drop of water, but always in good company, thanks to the warmth of its inhabitants. To come here is to contemplate the grandeur of Victorian buildings and the charm of small cottages with pointed windows, to enjoy world-famous towns and picturesque fishing villages, to embrace panoramas of green hills populated by reckless sheep and grandiose mountains where deer rule supreme... Because in Great Britain, country or countryside is a very particular concept. Green, rich in land, typical villages, heritage and landscapes, the British countryside is a preserved wonder. Hospitality makes sense in pubs and B&Bs, whether you are in England, Wales or Scotland. Kent, Devon, Yorkshire or Somerset are names that lull the imagination of large, typical and preserved spaces, immortalized in literature and cinema. But travelling in the kingdom is also about following in the footsteps of eternal thinkers and immortal writers, reliving the greatest hours of rock'n roll and embracing a pop culture in perpetual motion, drinking a good pint in a traditional pub and enjoying a cup of tea in a cosy lounge... In one word: it's so British.

Useful. To prepare your escapade as well as possible.
