DELIKAT
Read moreAn address by a Franco-Salvadoran couple. On the menu, delicious pizzas and artisanes, salads, starters and desserts, everything prepared with fresh and quality products. The dishes have names from European and American cities. A kind of culinary journey that remains without contention. The frame is very pleasant, because despite the heat, you will be charged on the shaded terrace. The owner holds a broadcast on the national radio (102.9), every Thursday at 18 p. m., in which he makes good press for French wines. We love!
SIMMER DOWN
Read moreThis restaurant is a must, partly because of its elevated terrace right next to the Cathedral: sit up there for a great view of the building and its variously colored stones, as well as the central square of Santa Ana. Food: good pizzas, meats and pastas, as well as a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, and a selection of desserts. Come early, as the large terrace can fill up in the evening, when locals and tourists come to enjoy the food and the view.

PUPUSERIA EL SOL
Read moreThis small pupusaria offers prices that defy all competition in El Tunco: pupusas are US$1. The choice of ingredients is admittedly limited (cheese, beans, chicken, garlic...) but the size of the delicious patties is above average! What's more, the restaurant also offers some typical Salvadoran breakfast and lunch options (red beans, plantains...). We sit down at one of the four wooden tables to enjoy all this and watch the bustle of the village's main street.
PUPUSERIA Y SANGUCHES MARTITA
Read moreOnce you've tried Pupuseria Martita, you'll want to come back again and again. Firstly, because the pupusas are delicious, and you'll also want to try the sandwich (a large loaf of bread with chicken thighs and a variety of vegetables). Secondly, because the prices are very affordable, and a full meal will set you back a few dollars. Finally, because the atmosphere is warm and cheerful, people come and go, and dozens of pupusas are being made before your very eyes all the time. We love it!
LA LUPITA DEL PORTAL

All this, with a breathtaking view of Lake Suchitlán below...magical!
PUPUSERIA BOYCA'S
Read moreAmong Suchitoto's pupuserias, this one stands out for its small wooden deck offering a magnificent view of the lake. Built on stilts, the structure may look shaky, but it holds up! The ideal place to enjoy this famous Salvadoran specialty, with a wide choice of combinations, and a few originals, such as "large" pupuserias and cheese-chocolate pupuserias (special!). There's also a wide choice of fresh fruit juices and licuados, the region's typical milk-and-fruit drink.
SUCRÉE
Read morePeople come to this French-inspired café/restaurant for breakfast, brunch or a meal (the pizzas are particularly famous). But what really catches the eye are the cakes and pastries of all kinds. The macaroons are delicious (try the mango or dulce de leche), and the recipe is kept so secret that only the chef knows it. Drinks: a wide range of coffees, juices and lemonades. Take a seat on the veranda: while the view overlooks the traffic circle, the atmosphere is very pleasant.
FOGO BONITO
Read moreA very good Brazilian churrasco in the Colonia San Benito district, where you can enjoy quality meats and cocktails. The star attraction is the tomahawk prime rib flambéed in cachaça before your very eyes. Side dishes include grilled vegetables, mashed potatoes and the famous Brazilian cheese rolls. Delicious!
