Venchi Chocolate
Read moreVenchi is one of New York's finest chocolatiers. The very first store opened in Turin in 1878, and since then the brand has only grown to over 120 stores worldwide. We love the seasonal product selections (the Christmas chocolate boxes are particularly pretty), and also the fact that the store has a nice selection of gelati. In addition to this charming store in the West Village, Venchi has six locations throughout the city, including one in each of the Eataly stores.
Albanese Meats & Poultry

Push open the door of this butcher's shop with its red façade and half-faded sign, and you'll take a leap back in time. Family photos and retro atmosphere guaranteed. Order from Jennifer Prezioso, the great-granddaughter of the original owners and granddaughter of Moe Albanese, nicknamed Moe the Butcher, a local celebrity who passed away in 2020 at age 90. The meats and Italian charcuterie are excellent.
