In summer, Northstar offers outdoor activities and an 18-hole golf course. Lift prices are a bit higher, but the park and its scenery - with panoramic mountain views - are beautiful.

Lee Canyon
Read moreSituated at an altitude of 2,594 meters, this resort, sometimes called the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort, offers some 30 slopes each winter for the enjoyment of ski and snowboard enthusiasts. There's also a snowtubing run for non-skiers, open until March. In summer, visitors can explore the hiking trails of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, or take a chairlift to the top of the mountain. Bar and cafeteria on site.
