Getting around by boat and ferry Malta

Departures every 45 minutes (from Mgarr terminal to Gozo and Cirkewwa terminal in Malta), from 7:30 a. m. to 11:00 p. m. (depending on the late season and earlier in the morning). Duration of crossing: About 25 minutes. Cafeteria on the boat. Recently, terminals and ferry are even equipped with Wi-Fi terminals.

Gozo Channel is a ferry company offering crossings between Mġarr, Gozo, and Cirkewwa, Malta. Phase 1 is aimed at frequent travel card holders and government offices and tour operators, who will be able to purchase their ferry tickets online. Phase 2, to be announced later, will enable all customer groups to buy tickets online and top up their travel cards. Other customer groups, including the general public, will still be able to purchase their ferry tickets at the company's points of sale, as is currently the case. Unused credit on old cards will be refunded.

Modern marina offering all practical services. It welcomes vessels up to 22 m in length.

Ferry service for passengers and vehicles between Valletta and Salerno once a week all year round. Length of travel: 18 hours.

Departure from the Sunday of Catania at 23 pm, arriving in Malta on Monday at pm (9 hours).

Departure on Monday of Malta at 14 pm, arrival in Catania on Monday at 21 pm (7 hours crossing).

Weekly journeys between Malta and Rome (Civitavecchia):

Departure Saturday of Rome at 22 pm, arrival in Malta on Monday at 7 pm (33 hours crossing).

Departure on Monday of Malta at 14 pm, arrival in Rome on Wednesday at 6 pm (40 hours crossing).

Travel for one or two children is offered if they accompany their parents.

Since June 2021, this company has enabled you to reach the island of Gozo directly by boat from Valletta. Arrival and departure from Valletta take place at Grand Harbour. From Gozo, arrival and departure are from the port of Mgarr. The journey takes around 45 minutes, with regular departures (around 150 connections per week). Please note that these ferries are for pedestrians only and will not take cars, scooters or motorcycles. No special services on board, but toilets are available. Reservations can be made online or at the ticket office.
