Firstly, the Merenda Reale®, the royal Turin snack in an ^18th-century version with hot chocolate or in a ^19th-century version with bicerin and all the sweets that go with it, in the afternoon every weekend, bookable in advance. And then the Extra Vermouth™ ataperitivo with three glasses of vermouth in different flavors and small savory dishes to accompany the tasting.

The Art Nouveau arabesque setting recalls the past of this historic caffetteria . Opposite the university, many illustrious professors and students have passed through here for a coffee or hot chocolate, to enjoy a mignardise or to taste Pavia's divinely-named specialty, the Torta Paradiso (Paradise Cake), very tender and covered in powdered sugar. To these good habits, which have not changed, we now add the possibility of lunching on site, with a choice of hot dishes and good salads.

This is a beautiful place, nestled under the arcades of Via Emilia with its small vegetated terrace that invites you to sit. You can come here in the morning for a good coffee, a fresh fruit juice and a pastry. You can also have lunch with a gourmet sandwich or a homemade pasta dish, accompanied by a good wine. A sweet break in the afternoon is not to be refused here: the pastries in the window are all tempting. Maison Livre becomes a refined cocktail bar in the evening, concocted with quality bottles that line the shelves.

We love this cute little cafe in the cathedral square of Modena with its dynamic waitresses. A few tables squeezed outside on the corner under the arcades are the rendezvous of early morning coffee drinkers, as well as strollers on the terrace who linger at their table to enjoy the view and the musical atmosphere of the café, at any time of the day. Behind the window, a display of cute pastries and some sweet and savory pies. Freshly squeezed orange juice, espresso and sweets make for a pleasant morning or afternoon on this terrace.

Cafhein, a coffee shop with a modern decor near Principe station, is the ideal place to wait for your train while nibbling on some sweet treats. As Via Balbi is home to a fine faculty and university accommodation, you'll come across students here all day long, taking a break or settling down with their computers to work. When it comes to hot drinks, you'll pay a little more than you would in a good old-fashioned café, but the choice is immense: it's a real paradise for lovers of golden lattes and flat whites.

A neighborhood bar ideal for a morning coffee with a sweet treat, an afternoon drink or homemade ice cream, or an aperitivo at the end of the day. Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. You might want to avoid going at lunchtime, as it's very crowded: the local workers come here to get their sandwiches, and we can understand their enthusiasm, as everything here is very good, both sweet and savoury. Nice choice of cookies. Please note: the place is closed on Saturdays and Sundays!
