For more than 10 years, Botti du Schoggiu has been organising open cinema sessions between July and August in Carloforte. Normally, meetings are held in primary schools on via dei Naviganti.

A cult screening that sells out every week. Recommended for all film buffs!

The Giorgione, with its two theaters and 297 seats, offers both art house and big budget films. It is one of the most popular cinemas in Venice, between Fondamenta Nuove and Rialto. Get off the vaporetto 1 at Ca'd'Oro and, after passing Campo Santi Apostoli, you're there.

The Accademia Cinema offers more fresh new features at unbeatable prices. It's ideal if you missed the movie you're talking about in all dinners. Comfort is minimal: The room is not heated in winter (there are even air currents), and the seats are far from comfortable.

One of the favorite cinemas of the Venetians, located in the heart of San Marco. This is the place where movie lovers like to go to see the best films of the moment, both Italian and foreign. The establishment has built its reputation over the last century. It currently has three large screening rooms, one of which has 300 seats and shows feature films in 3D. At the Rossini, it is often possible to attend previews before the Mostra.

The headquarters of the Maison du cinéma is located in the heart of the Villa Borghese park. This institution is a landmark for all film lovers. It covers an immense area of 2,500 ^m2 on two levels, including a projection room, two DVD viewing rooms, a room for press conferences, a very pleasant cafeteria (Cine Caffè) and two photo and poster exhibition rooms dedicated to two Italian filmmakers: Cesare Zavattini and Sergio Amidei. Many sessions are free, check the program on the site.

Anteo Palazzo del Cinema offers a fine line-up of films, from the latest blockbuster to the hottest auteur, in a pleasant setting not far from Garibaldi station. We also mention this cinema for its large selection of films in their original version, which is very useful for non-Italian speakers. The cinema also offers interesting formulas in its Sala Nobel, where you can have breakfast, lunch, an aperitif or dinner while watching the latest film! Ideal for an original evening out.
