This address in the Vomero district was born from the desire of Benny Galasso, an architect-designer, to create a club in Naples resolutely inspired by the latest clubbing fashions that he had observed in Florida. A historic club in Sorrento, the Fauno has been a meeting place for the party people of the Amalfi Coast since the 1950s, as well as for the many Italian and international tourists who come here in search of a night of escape and entertainment. Despite its name, this small bar located at the very top of Positano, at the first stop of the buses coming from Sorrento, is very local. Italians like to meet there for a coffee or a beer with a pastry or a snack. They have a front row seat to watch the constant flow of travellers. Cars brush past them. The television broadcasts football matches. A stopover is highly recommended for those arriving in Positano by road, to take the time to marvel at the view while sipping an espresso.

This romantic and colorful bar is located a few steps from the La Fenice theater. It attracts a diverse clientele, a mix of Venetians and foreigners looking for originality. You can order a glass of prosecco or champagne, a Bellini or an Italian beer. You can also work up an appetite by enjoying cicchetti (Sardinian in saor in particular), or by opting directly for secondi piatti that are just as local, such as calf's liver(fegato) cut into thin strips, served with polenta. At the North end of the Lido, this large bar in the Caribbean style (with the statement of the owners), is in summer, the favorite place of appointment of the young people to the fashion. Active since the seventeenth century, among the oldest theatres in the city, this small "Italian-style" theatre (with four orders of superimposed boxes) is dedicated to the great theatrical writer Carlo Goldoni who directed it from 1752 to 1761. It was for this stage that the Italian Molière composed his plays with immortal characters, including La Trilogia della villeggiatura, Sior Todero brontolon, Le Baruffe chiozzotte and Una delle ultime sere di carnovale, which continue to be performed there today alongside other shows.

Inaugurated in 1678, it was then called Teatro San Giovanni Grisostomo.
