An excellent address in the pedestrian center, offering South Tyrolean cuisine with a blend of Italian and Austrian influences. So typical that the waiters are dressed in traditional costume. Good pasta and meat dishes; try the Alpine roast beef with Lagrein wine sauce, for example. Try knödels, the famous bread dumplings similar to quenelles, schlutzkrapfen, game meat ravioli, and smoked meat with local sauerkraut. Finally, strudel is the local pastry par excellence.

A splendid building surrounded by vineyards, on the road leading down to Lake Caldaro. You are warmly welcomed in the tastefully furnished rooms with stone walls and wooden ceilings, or on the terrace in the courtyard or garden. The limited menu highlights seasonal products in a cuisine of Italian and international inspiration (try the roasted scallops with truffle and white chocolate!). Nice selection of wines from South Tyrol. A rather romantic, sensitive and intimate setting for this restaurant run by sincere people.

It is located in the heart of the tourist centre of Monreale, in the main square in front of the Duomo. Moreover the view is wonderful to admire its architectural beauty. But it is not a tourist attraction. It serves a wide choice of honest and cheap pizzas, which even Sicilians themselves come to eat here. For a quick and tasty lunch break. And no matter what time of day you linger in the cathedral, here the service is continuous.

Beautiful pastel blue building on Vitipeno's main street, and excellent South Tyrolean cuisine, with traditional dishes such as canederli and goulash, but also some daily suggestions using seasonal produce and excellent fresh homemade pasta. The establishment was obliged to close at dusk, but the rule was sometimes broken... This legend is the origin of the restaurant's name ("The Dark Host"). The restaurant is located at an altitude of over 2,200 meters in the Lumen Museum of Photography, which opened a few years ago. So this restaurant is right up there with the clouds at the top of Plan de Corones and is only accessible by cable car. It is open at lunchtime with late service until the beginning of the day. A good-natured (and maybe even kid-friendly) pub-restaurant near the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele III. The menu is particularly extensive. There are many vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. There is a large selection of salads, paninis and well executed pizzas. Without being a gastronomic address, the Gli Atenati is a nice place for a cheap dinner in Messina until late, but above all a good bar to enjoy a craft beer. The atmosphere is particularly local, which is its charm.

This restaurant is a sure bet in town. Don't hesitate to enter the dining room to discover the decor, which is as much a galleon captain's cabin as a pirate's den. Bacco, the owner and a former fisherman himself, has put together a jumble of bric-a-brac. The à la carte menu features a seafood platter, marinated Ligurian anchovies, spaghetti with shellfish, bottarga pasta, fritto misto, stockfish, grilled swordfish... To accompany your meal, we recommend mineral water(naturale) or a pitcher of house white wine(vermentino).

An address in Egna's historic arcades, reasonably priced compared to neighboring establishments, and serving generous South Tyrolean cuisine, with fine offerings of homemade pasta, gnocchi and ravioli, and typical dishes such as breaded schnitzel and canederli. Traditional South Tyrolean recipes are skilfully combined with Mediterranean delights, and the result is not bad at all. Fast, efficient service.

A good address of charm with few tables in the heart of the charming piazza Delle Erbe. There is also a small terrace. Beer is made home. Austrian specialities.

Located on the roadside at the exit of the village of Sesto coming from San Candido, this really unpretentious restaurant is a good local restaurant, without being gastronomic. It is a self-service restaurant, but the traditional dishes are prepared with care and in gargantuan quantities. You will appreciate the immense terrace at an altitude of 2,000 metres and the sublime view, both in summer and winter. Inside, benches are covered with warm sheepskins, while a fire in a central stove warms the room.

In this gourmet restaurant located directly on the slopes, Alpine cuisine meets Mediterranean cuisine, under the creative guidance of chef Markus Holzer. The menu features Tyrolean classics, a daily menu with delicious vegetarian options, an Alpine menu and a gourmet menu. Saturdays are dedicated to "Mountain Dining" gourmet dinners, with creative, regional 4- to 6-course menus. For pasta lovers, the "Pasta on the rocks" evenings on Thursdays feature Italian dishes.

But what a pretty chalet, with its walls of thick logs and its winter snow cap! Set on the edge of a fir-tree forest, it's this rustic charm that people come here for. At the foot of the roadside Tre Cime and Roda Crossa cable cars, it is renowned for its excellent Tyrolean cuisine. This refuge-bar-restaurant is located at the top of the slopes of the Reda Crossa cable car. It is therefore only accessible during the day. It's renowned for its delicious plates of local specialities, fresh mushroom dishes when in season, and homemade cakes. It's an ideal place for families: in summer, there's a playground out front, and many hiking trails start from the refuge. In winter, it's right in the middle of the slopes and the starting point for a 5 km toboggan run!

The restaurant's entrance is characteristic because the establishment has preserved its original grocery store décor with its retail outlet for cold cuts, cheeses and local products. If you're looking for a good restaurant in the resort (or a good excuse for a long lunch break), this restaurant at 1,600 m altitude will be your ideal refuge. The panoramic view from this height is unforgettable and can be enjoyed with a good draught beer. On the plates are Tyrolean specialities prepared by a skilful and creative hand in the kitchen. The rolls of beef carpaccio and mozzarella di bufala campana on a bed of arugula are a must-taste. The semifreddo for dessert was to die for.

The chef Bruno Steiner wanted to recreate the informal and convivial side of picnics in his restaurant: an open kitchen where you can see the chef at work, high tables, a family atmosphere, simplicity and freshness in the choice of ingredients. In fact, you can order everything to go! There is no stuffy atmosphere here, the tone is rather informal and friendly. The menu consists of only a handful of dishes that change constantly, dishes made with ingredients gleaned from the market and local farms.

It is the latest fashionable address in this bucolic and isolated valley. The Flurin is a trendy hotel that has nothing to envy of the city addresses, a gastronomic restaurant and a lively bar. The food is spectacular, high quality fusion cuisine where organic and natural mountain ingredients are in the limelight, especially herbs and flowers from the Alps. Mousses, emulsions, crunchy, melting. Local game is accompanied by peas, rhubarb and polenta. The cappelletti with wild garlic, cheese, asparagus and walnuts are to die for.

Don't be put off by the exterior, which doesn't look like much, because this is a real Piedmontese trattoria, and a chic version at that. The prices are a little higher than elsewhere but they are largely justified as the dishes are delicate, refined and presented as in a luxury restaurant. The products worked in the plate are of a very great quality. What more can we say? It is beautiful, it is good, and the service is warm and benevolent! Everything is perfect! A great success!
