MÉTRO

Getting around by metro

1 review

It's easy to find your way around, as there are only three lines. The most important is line 1, which runs past the Vomero (Vanvitelli), the Archaeological Museum (Museo), piazza Dante (Dante), via Toledo (Toledo) and on to the main station (Garibaldi). Line 2, actually built on the railway network, connects Bagnoli and Mergellina with the main station. Finally, line 6 currently connects the Fuorigrotta district with Mergellina, covering 4 stations. Eventually, it will reach Piazza Municipio.

MÉTRO DE CAGLIARI

Getting around by metro

Cagliari has two metro lines. Line 1 leaves from Piazza della Repubblica in the centre of the city to Monserrato University Hospital in the north. Line 2 connects San Gottardo in the north of the city to the suburbs of Selargius and Settimo San Pietro. The metro runs daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a frequency of 10 minutes (20 minutes on Sundays and holidays). The metro inaugurated in 2008 uses old railway tracks. An extension project from Piazza della Repubblica to Piazza Matteoti is under way.
