The city of Differdange organizes every year several festivals with free entrance that attract thousands of spectators. Thus, since 2004, the Blues Express has been held every July on the former mining sites of Fond-de-Gras (which houses the Minett Park open-air museum) and Lasauvage. During the course of the day, no less than 50 local, regional and international bands play on a dozen stages. Of course, it is mainly blues music that is involved, all in a very friendly fair atmosphere.

Organised since 2000 in the late summer by the city of Esch-sur-Alzette, this pop music festival is on the heights of the city. He was preceded for two days by the Street Festival. There are many free animations in the streets of Esch.

The World MeYouZik world music festival, organised by the Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO), takes place in the open air in the centre of Luxembourg City. It is unique in its kind and offers concerts on four stages: Place GuillaumepII, Place de la Constitution, Rue du Saint-Esprit and Place d'Armes. The festival is also home to the MeYouVillage, located on Place de Clairefontaine, which brings together Luxembourg associations and NGOs. Their aim: to make people discover crafts and gastronomy from elsewhere, as well as their ongoing humanitarian projects.

Launched in 1982 in France by Jack Lang, then Minister of Culture, the Fête de la Musique is today the first emblematic event in Europe. This event takes the form of a festival open to all, both amateur and professional musicians, promoting the diversity of genres, styles and musical crossbreeding. It is aimed at all audiences, of all ages and all social conditions. In Luxembourg, it takes place all over the country, not only on 21 June, but also the days before.

Organised by the Comité de liaison des associations d'étrangers (CLAE), this festival, the first of which dates back to 1983, is accompanied by the Salon du livre et des cultures du Luxembourg and, since 2013, by ARTmanif, Rencontre des cultures et des arts contemporains. Associative stands, literary meetings, debates, gastronomy, children's entertainment, songs and dances of the world punctuate this weekend, which contributes to the construction of a new citizenship in Luxembourg.

The Night of Culture concerns the city of Esch, its numerous cultural establishments, as well as the Belval University district. Each year, an evening is organized around a carefully chosen theme, around which dozens of artists create a parade, routes, performances, installations or shows. The multiple events take place in different places of the city, sometimes unusual and unknown. A magical event to discover with family, friends or night owls.

Initially organised in honour of Victor Hugo's 200th birthday and the inauguration of the new Vianden Castle Museum, this book festival has been held inside the fortress since 2002. For two days, antique dealers, collectors and lovers of culture and literature meet around the theme of paper. On the programme: demonstrations, readings and creative workshops. The majority of the books on sale on site are in German, but this event remains a key event in the Luxembourg literary landscape.

It's one of the most eagerly awaited musical events for the thousands of jazz and blues aficionados! Every year in Luxembourg City, the districts of Grund, Clausen and Pfaffenthal are transformed into an open-air festival. Dozens of concerts take place in cafés, clubs, restaurants and public squares. Stages are also set up at the foot of the ramparts of the former fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site. An event organised by the City of Luxembourg, together with the Luxembourg City Tourist Office and the Blues Club Lëtzebuerg.

This open-air music festival takes place on the shores of Lake Echternach, an exceptional setting. For three consecutive days, from Friday to Sunday, the festival is in full swing. Rock, pop, disco, live-acts, electro DJs and DJ-sets... The heterogeneous programme attracts up to 20,000 festival-goers every year. They can stay on site at the campsite provided for this purpose. However, festival-goers must respect the site and are encouraged to collect their waste (deposit system, recycling centre, etc.).

In July or August, the municipal film library organizes the screening of great cinema classics during ten days at 9:30 pm (or at nightfall). In the heart of the city center, the square in front of the Grand Ducal Palace hosts a giant screen in front of which no less than 500 spectators can be seated. Varied, entertaining and for all audiences, the program is composed of classic films as well as cult feature films and family films. Young and old alike will find something to enjoy during these star-studded evenings.

Every year, the streets of Contern are closed to traffic so that around fifty comic book authors can set up shop on the festival site and offer dedications. About a hundred sales stands are also present. There is a wide range of new and second-hand comics, original drawings, posters, figurines, and everything that revolves around comics. Several catering stands are run by the local associations to offer festival-goers a convivial and gourmet break.

Since 1975 and until 2018, Echternach hosted an internationally renowned music festival. This festival allowed to experience music in an exceptional setting, whether in the basilica, in the Saints Peter and Paul church overlooking the city or in the cultural and congress center of Echternach, the Trifolion. Since 2019, the event has been transformed into the Echterlive festival, which offers rock, pop, jazz and classical music concerts, outdoors but also in small cafes in the city.

This international music and theatre festival takes place in the open air in the amphitheatre of Wiltz Castle. It was founded in 1953 and was originally an event devoted solely to theatre. Thanks to its success, dance, operas and musicals have been added to the programme to the delight of the many visitors. Today, the Wiltz Festival is undoubtedly an unmissable event in the north of Luxembourg, during which spectators discover unique shows.

This event has been organised since 1981 by the Junglinster Tourist Office, in collaboration with local associations. Ceramics, jewellery, textile work, leather... More than 100 craftsmen and craftswomen exhibit in the streets of the village and in the castle. Visitors have the opportunity to spend a few pleasant hours in a picturesque setting, to admire and buy one or other of the works they have discovered.
