Let's not forget to mention the location, a nice terrace by the beach of Pollonia, all elements gathered to have an excellent time here.

Open your taste buds wide, you're in for a treat. To begin with, you have to choose between sitting in an old grocery store, with a lush decoration made of luminous colanders, lanterns, jam jars and vintage cans, and the annex set up just across the street in a sort of barnum on stilts. In any case, you can eat very well for cheap: shrimps sagnaki, tarama, tuna rillettes, everything is to fall. Very good white wine also with the Antithessi produced in the Parissi winery, the best vineyard of the island.

This hut located on the beach is not lacking in charm. If you want to sunbathe while sipping a cocktail and contemplating the island of Naxos, you can rent a deckchair and its parasol. If you want to have a bite to eat, it happens in the restaurant. The decoration is made of wicker, the lights are carefully subdued in the evening, you feel good. On the menu? Pork shank with potatoes, sardines or mussels in ouzo with cherry tomatoes, fresh cream and gentian. Some rooms are available with sea or mountain view.

We are about to reveal one of our favorite addresses. The Thalassamou restaurant is located at the end of the beach, where it enjoys a royal isolation. We sit on the terrace or under the trees, with our feet in the water. The spot is charming but simple, you feel good. Marios Salmatanis, who revisits the local cuisine after training in France, serves incredible tarama, eggplant caviar, fava, sardines and guacamole, bruschetta, mussels with garlic and white wine, squid cooked in its ink... Everything is to die for. And it's not expensive at all!-

This beach restaurant opened in 1964 for bird hunters and is still run by the same family. It is typically the kind of beachside restaurant one would want to find on vacation. You dine with your feet in the sand and the food, although simple, is of excellent quality and prepared only with products from Paros. Don't forget to ask for the grilled fish, absolutely delicious. And the fava, beet and bread spreads are not to be outdone. Finally, not to spoil anything, the prices had the good taste to remain very low.

Ideally located, this restaurant overlooks the magnificent harbor of Hydra. As his name indicates, it is a ritual to contemplate the sunset. The food is of good quality, with a very varied menu (the meat from the Peloponnese is a real delight). It's worth a detour, at least for the sight and the frame that won't disappoint you.

Looking for the best view of the Caldera? There's competition, but you'll probably find it at Alali. This gourmet restaurant boasts an absolutely stunning panorama not only of the crater, but also of the surrounding cliffs, with villages gleaming white like snow-capped peaks. And the nine-course tasting menu is incredible: oysters with herb and kiwi emulsion, duck breast with rosemary, cod confit à l'égéenne... You're in for an unforgettable evening.

Located below the central square, this modern tavern with no pretensions to the friendly servers offers Greek dishes, slouvakis, salads, meat, fish, pasta and pizza with wood fire, all in a relaxed atmosphere and at attractive prices. Air conditioned room on the floor and outside balcony with two tables.

Tavern, established since 1967 in the heart of Psiri Square, renowned for the quality of its grilled and homemade dishes. At the beginning, its clientele was limited to the artisans living in this traditional neighborhood of Athens, but very quickly, the establishment became an unusual place for the Sunday meal of the locals. On the terrace, on the pedestrian street, or on the sidewalk along the church yard, you can enjoy your meal without being hustled. A great find, with low prices, off the beaten tourist track. This small tavern simply serves traditional and delicious dishes (salads, stuffed vegetables, stews). Almost all the ingredients (including cheese and sausage) are produced by the owners and you can feel it on your plate. Moreover, the house also sells some local products to all those who would like to stock up. And the welcome, in this flowered space, in the middle of aromatic herbs, adds to the charm of the place!

This is the ideal place for candlelight dinners in a palm garden - unique on the island. The dream, also because meals are served on large tables placed in isolated corners of the garden to preserve the privacy of each. The Diporto tavern assures above all a trip back in time and in authenticity. The tavern of the "cursed" of the past, frequented by poets of the interwar period, has reopened its doors for the pleasure of Athenians who appreciate the true values of life. The food is traditional but delicious, and the house wine is excellent. In the summer, a few tables under the bougainvilleas promise a charming moment. It is a cult address and an absolute mustto discover an authentic face of Athens.

Housed in a typical Plaka house with 400 years of history, this cafe-restaurant is the meeting point of the Athenians, especially during Sunday lunch. The establishment, perfectly restored and functional, keeps the atmosphere of the old Plaka without giving in to caricature and without compromising the quality of the dishes offered. In winter, the fireplace promises convivial moments in the interior room, while in season you can sit in the small alley in front of the restaurant. An address that deserves a visit.

An institution. Here, Chef Dimitris welcomes you and your family! You'll be able to sample all the most traditional Corfu recipes, as well as creative Greek dishes such as lamb cooked in a lemon sauce, Samiotiko (a pork tenderloin with sesame seeds in a Samos wine sauce) and much more. With your feet in the water, you can also sample the catch of the day with a fine quality of fish, ready for grilling. Other options include grilled calamari stuffed with local cheese or small marinated fresh fish.

A great address with good food, a nice atmosphere and a slightly slow service that invites you to relax. Because in season, this little address is very popular! Ideal for families (but not only), it features friendly hammocks and a giant chessboard. On the menu: salads and Greek classics, with rather generous portions. There's a lovely view of the sea and the property is very pleasant. The little extra when we dropped in: sticks of citronella essential oil, perfect for keeping the mosquitoes at bay!

The first customer came in over twenty years ago. The family likes to say they started with a few tables and the business has flourished ever since. On the menu: Mediterranean cuisine with vegetarian and resolutely locavore options (and house wine). A five-minute walk from the sea, you can also order snacks for a picnic on the beach. Excellent family restaurant by the sea. Simple, quality cuisine and impeccable service. This place had been recommended to us by locals because the food, we were told, was delicious, with breathtaking sunsets. Very true. We booked a table on the terrace. The homemade tzatziki was fabulous, as was the seafood, which was very tasty. The staff were lovely, attentive and friendly. Highly recommended, with excellent value for money and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere.

One will come to the restaurant and wine bar of the eponymous hotel, notably for its impressive cellar which aligns a beautiful selection of 170 Greek wines, including some orange wines. The restaurant, which matches the hotel's chic and tasteful style, offers an assortment of cheeses to match either the white wines or the more robust reds. Grilled meats, grilled cheeses and traditional Greek dishes(ladopita, tigania...) complete the menu.

Ideally located at the end of the Kanoni peninsula, this Greek-Mediterranean restaurant is one of the culinary addresses to try in Corfu. First for the setting and the breathtaking view of one of the island's must-see spots, the church of Pontikonisi, and the spectacular aircraft landings nearby. Then for the dishes, worked with passion and elegance, on a basis of fresh products oriented towards the sea. Our favorite for a romantic dinner.

This pretty tavern, shaded by large tamarisk trees and located a few steps from the sea, is the domain of^Mrs. Eleni. There she prepares traditional dishes, cooked as at home, with products from her garden. Among the dishes not to be missed are the melting lamb from the Ziros hills, the succulent kakavia (fish soup) or the snails with tomato and onion sauce. Fresh fish and shellfish, grilled or simmered in different sauces, are of excellent quality. Also on the menu: grilled meats and various dishes.

The owner of this mezzedopoleio, originally from Macedonia ("perperas" means butterfly in Northern Greece), having succumbed to the charms of Crete, has been in Hania for some time and shares his love of cooking with his customers. In his establishment, a little removed from the tourist flows, you can taste very good small dishes and traditional Greek food, prepared from day to day. Sit under the wall trees and taste, among others, the best raki of Hania. Some evenings with live music, without microphones!

Alla & Alla is the kind of place you'd expect to find on vacation: a friendly atmosphere, where you can eat well without breaking the bank! Take a seat on Kaillambi alley, a stone's throw from the Fontaine aux Lions, and enjoy dishes prepared with quality ingredients: the salads are fresh and the small dishes inevitably attract a glass of chilled raki. Opt for the mixed grill dish for a meat-based meal. Bulk wine is of good quality. Efficient service. On the menu, solutions for vegetable lovers too.

As its name suggests, it is a real meeting place in the central square of the village! Greek specialties (pastitsio, moussaka, stuffed tomatoes) are enjoyed in the shade of the pergola, the meat comes from the farm of Yorgos, the owner. He organizes live Cretan music concerts once a week, enough to discover this other traditional facet of the island, after gastronomy and agricultural products. In the plates, you will find all the classics of a Greek tavern, so no surprise there!

Among the latest addresses to open, this one hides in an elegant courtyard in Argostoli. Terre Mouikis is a bar-restaurant that's causing a stir with its modern, refined cuisine and creative cocktails. The menu by Cephalonian chef Asimakis Chaniotis (formerly of London's Michelin-starred Pied à Terre) features quality local produce and locally inspired recipes, such as the "riganada" of fresh tomatoes and wild oregano, with garlic and feta mousse and pan-fried squid: a version of the traditional Cephalonian meat pie.

Ideal for dining, as the view of the sea and sunset is magnificent. On the small pier perched on the water's edge, a varied menu featuring traditional Greek cuisine, fish and seafood (including grilled squid and sea bream), fresh shellfish and a choice of meat dishes. But above all, ask to see the day's catch, brought in by Nikolakis and Georgotzis, the two local boats. At the end of the meal, we were offered a phenomenal homemade kumquat liqueur. The service is very professional and friendly.
