This family tavern looks like it's straight out of a 1960s movie. It opened in 1953, and since then it has been treating its customers to the same traditional good food. In the shade of the large tamarisk trees, facing the sea, you can enjoy grandmother's cooking: veal simmered in a tomato sauce, roasted goat's cheese with artichokes (in season), rabbit in sauce, snails with rosemary... and a variety of dishes (taste the zucchini flowers stuffed with rice). Nothing but the traditional, cooked of the day. Delicious!

Siamo approdate a questo ristorante un po’ per caso ed è stata una bella sorpresa. Taverna sulla spiaggia, a noi è piaciuto molto che i tavolini fossero molto vicini al mare. La ragazza che ci ha servire è stata gentile. Nel menu si possono trovare le tipiche pietanza sarde e i piatti che abbiamo scelto li abbiano trovati gustosi. A dove cena ci hanno offerto una rete di torta. (con ospite gradito che si è spazzolato gli avanzi del pesce)

Authentic and warm atmosphere in a wonderful location right on the beach and of course fantastic food.
One of our top favourites on Crete and definitely a must.
Table reservations are recommended, especially in the high season!

Diner septembre 2023, très belle découverte, taverne typique « n bord de plage, tables sous de grands et beaux arbres, très sympa pour diner le soir. Plat locaux faits maison à la demande, cuisine typique vraiment excellente, notre top à Makry Gialos.
