Today, this market of almost 2,200 m² offers everything a market can offer: fresh fish and seafood, fruit and vegetables, cheeses, charcuterie... Prices are as attractive as those charged in the Triana market hall, if not a little cheaper.

On the east side of town, stop by this lively municipal market, which has been held since 1943. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, local farmers display their products in the open air, along with some of their animals. With a large number of stalls, spread over more than 1,000 square metres, the Pere Garau market is one of the largest in Palma. Here you can break the bank (especially for tapas). In addition to foodstuffs, the market also sells fabric by the metre with typical Balearic dyes.

Located in the middle of Calle Feria and next to the Omnium Santorum church, this market is one of the oldest in the city. The building dates from the 18th century and has been restored several times over the centuries. The complex is actually made up of two sheds separated by a street that crosses the market. Inside, you will appreciate the array of colours and smells of the products: fruit and vegetables, meat, fish and flowers, as well as some tasting points. The market is busiest on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

This market, surprisingly topped by apartments, is not as well stocked as the markets of La Encarnación, Feria or Triana, but it is still a pleasant place to stroll around and take your time. The building was constructed in 1947 by the architect Juan Talavera y Heredia on the site of an old prison. In the alleys you will find fruit and vegetables, flowers and fresh produce as well as fish and seafood. Toilets, a wine bar, a refreshment bar and restaurants and even a laundry complete the facilities.

This market booth in Puerta de Toledo says it is the only place where only madrilenes are found: Asparagus and strawberry of Aramjuez, anisette of Chinchon, meat of the Sierra Norte… than the local.

Quite simply the most authentic craft market on the island. Sale of products made by locals ranging from food to artworks to medicinal plants. Concerts from noon. Hippie atmosphere and very relaxed. Craftsmen and farmers, jewelers and coffee roasters, musicians and artists... all meet here every Sunday morning. This market is a real spectacle in itself. A must-see!

The municipal market, the prettiest in the area, is held under the lonja. You can find all kinds of fish (including the famous anchovies) from the Cantabrian Sea, but also fresh products from the farmers, fruit and vegetables, flowers and cheese. It is very popular and attracts many locals and curious people in a lively atmosphere. We recommend you come early in the morning to enjoy the peace and quiet and to do your shopping without being pushed around by the crowd.

Designed in 1840 by Antonio Zabaleta, the building was declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1986 and has since been completely rebuilt both inside and out. Nowadays it houses different types of shops and tapas bars, which on certain days organise "parades" of author's pintxos. It has the structure of a market, but it is no longer a market. However, you will be able to go shopping in one of the shops present and perhaps find what you are looking for. There is a practical information desk in the building.

Every Sunday morning, the Plaza Nueva fills up with passers-by and the curious at its Sunday market. Under the arcades of the square, about fifty stalls sell records, books, old toys, and even fish and birds. It is also the meeting place for fans of cromos (trading cards). On this day, the bars in the square are always full; it is customary to have an aperitif with rabas (fried squid).

This hippy market is very popular; dozens of sales points offer handicrafts, musical instruments... It is, according to us, the most interesting hippy market of the island, more typical and warm than the one in Es Canar. Besides, the owner of the place chooses himself the exhibitors at the beginning of the season, in order to favour the diversity of the products. Although a little less hippy than in the past, Las Dalias remains the most emblematic market on the island.

The market occupies a building built in 1927 by the architect Fermín Álamo. Its façade is a succession of brick arches and friezes representing plant themes. Until 1837 there was a church dedicated to Saint Blaise on this site. After its destruction, an open-air market was held here, which was then called the Plaza de la Verdura (Vegetable Square). Nowadays it has many stalls selling fresh produce.

The craft market offers a wide range of local products (fruit and vegetables), but also Minorcan crafts: ceramics, avarca, decorative objects for the home... In the summer, the streets of the city centre host the "Night Market", which offers various leather goods and handicrafts. Concerts and popular dance shows liven up both markets. As for the street market, you can find everything! It's a great way to mingle with the locals and pick up some interesting items.

Since 2010, this new Carmen market has replaced the old one. Don't expect a beautiful structure of industrial architecture from the beginning of the last century, this one is modern and its visual is not its first asset. This is the daily meeting point of the city's inhabitants. Before shopping for fresh products in the region, you can enjoy the soft silhouette of white arcades and the ochre of the blinds covering the patio. Set in what was the former convent of San Francisco, called the Madre de Madre de Dios de Osuna, it was one of the first buildings built in the seigneurial part of Osuna. From the old convent, there is only the cloister where the current outlets are arranged, the sculptures and objects that were present in the various churches of Osuna.

This is the ideal place to stroll with your family and enjoy the friendly and popular atmosphere. This square is filled with market stalls and high quality merchandise. You can fill your shopping bag with fruits and vegetables before taking a break in one of the bars and restaurants offering delicious dishes, thanks to the freshness of the ingredients used. We recommend the butcher's shop and restaurant De Cruz Morales, which offers customers the possibility of tasting the products they have prepared.

Located on the ground floor of the Mendibil shopping centre, this charming covered market is very well stocked with cheese, vegetables, fruit, fish, meat and delicatessen. Here you won't be out of the ordinary, as many of its customers come from Hendaye, and even from Saint-Jean-de-Luz, to buy anchovies, olives or croquetas. Among its many stalls, don't miss the butcher Zubikoa, whose selection of Bellota ham is a marvel. Be patient, however, as it is often crowded in front of his stall.

Designed by the architect José Marin Baldó, this market, built in the second half of the 19th century, follows all the codes of iron architecture used in this field. Completely renovated in 2012, but keeping its structure, it is of course the ideal place to buy fresh produce, with an entire floor in the basement dedicated to the city's impressive fish and seafood resources. For the anecdote, Marie Curie visited it and a commemorative plaque celebrates this event inside the market.

An agricultural market of the biosphere is held on the upper floor of the Guaguas train station every Saturday. You will find fresh country or seafood sold directly from local producers. With a total of about 30 stalls. You can also find some jams such as the Tuno jam, produced from the cactus and more and more declined, including as a drink. Every morning a tiny farmers' market is held in front of the port. With as almost unique product the majorero cheese, but directly from the producers.

Once a month, on Saturdays, this great open-air market is celebrated in the streets of the old town. There are a total of around 180 traders and exhibitors offering food, clothing, antiques and tastings of local products. You can take a look at the Rincón de la Artesanía (Craft Corner) to sample some local artefacts, or head to the Plaza de la Burullería, where there are activities for the little ones and a tasting area. Until the middle of the 20th century, the weekly market in Gernika was held every Monday in the open air. Shortly after the bombing of the city, a large hall was built to house its stalls. The current building, rebuilt in 1991, continues to house the stalls of greengrocers, florists, butchers and cheese makers every Monday morning. Its reputation is such that the tourist office organizes guided tours! On the^first Saturday of the month, a local product is celebrated: txakoli, beans (alubias), Gernika pepper...

In this market, you will find organic and good food: about fifteen small producers of the area meet there on Thursdays and Saturdays to sell their fruits and vegetables of the garden, but also flowers and plants. Since 1718, the market stalls have been located around the beautiful kiosk in the plaza del solar. The latter, built in an eclectic style, dates from 1912. Take advantage of this opportunity to stock up on good regional products, including the typical green peppers of Gernika, and don't forget to bring back a few bottles of txakoli.

This flower market is held every Sunday morning on the promenade of El Arenal, a few metres from the Town Hall. The stalls are set up along the ría, offering all kinds of plants and flowers at low prices. The emblematic tinglados (metal shelters), inherited from the industrial era, become the showcase of this pretty market where it is good to stroll among the freshly cut flowers. Many small producers come here to sell their products.

This market is an unmissable event in the Basque Country, where the reference prices for each product are established every week! Since 1512, local products have been sold every Wednesday, and the streets of Ordizia are filled with the aroma of local produce. Stalls selling local fruit and vegetables, Idiazábal cheese, lamb, etc. are grouped together in a large hall built in 1925 in the Plaza Mayor. Special fairs are held there (see calendar).

Its location as a crossroads between Navarra, France and Castile has favoured the economic development of Tolosa. The Saturday markets are very lively: fresh produce at the Mercado del Tinglado, along Calle Solana, near the river, the flower and plant market in the Plaza Verdura, and textile products in the Plaza Euskal Herria. The Tinglado Market, built in 1899 and recently renovated, forms a beautiful architectural ensemble.
