Created in 1880, this association has found refuge in an Art Deco building, the work of the architect Antonio Palacios Ramilo, which alone is worth a visit. This film Library, run by the Generalitat, offers cycles of non-commercial films, which are still available in original version and subtitled in Catalan or Spanish.

The reports are of very good quality, some examples: The Adrénaline/mystery of the Nile, the Amazons, the mystery of the Titanic… The programme is varied (2 reports for the Imax and 2 also for the Omnimax) and the many meetings (afternoon, evening and also in the morning on weekends and holidays).

It is located in the oratory of the former Hospital de Dolores y Concepcion founded at the beginning of the 16th century. The pointed arch of the entrance and the old arch of the presbytery can be seen. Inside, the small size of the auditorium is noteworthy, but it retains all the characteristics of the Italian-style theatre. Classified as a property of cultural interest in 1997, it now houses the only cinema in Santa Cruz de La Palma.

Every year at the beginning of summer, Sala Montjuïc organizes open-air screenings of films in their original version in the gardens of the castle. The films programmed are of excellent quality, highlighting current auteur cinema and some classics of the 7th art. The films and short films are shown in their original version with subtitles. Remember to bring a blanket or a deckchair and something to picnic, although you can also buy a sandwich and some drinks on the spot. Book your ticket in advance, as seats sell out quickly.

Created in 1953, this cinéclub is the oldest in Spain still in operation. It mainly programs in VO films that did not go out in cinemas or big classics of the cinema.
