Koninklijke Yacht Club Oostende Vzw is a sailing club located in Ostend. It is the oldest yacht club in the country. Ostend is a popular seaside town, with 9 km of sandy beaches and a lively shopping center. It's accessible at both high and low tide, even by deep-draft boats. The town center can be reached on foot (20 minutes) or by bike (7 minutes) from the club. What's more, there's a streetcar stop just 200 meters from the club, with streetcars taking you into town every 15 minutes.

The Ostend Sailing and Racing Club (OSRC) was founded in 1987 with the aim of promoting water sports and boating, in particular catamaran sailing. The club has a site near the Ostend lighthouse, which serves as a boat park and also houses the clubhouse with all amenities (bar, shower, storage areas...). The OSRC offers sailing courses and organizes sailing and powerboat competitions, as well as various water sports events. The association also aims to foster social contacts between its members. It's advisable not to wait too long to sign up, as places fill up quickly. The club also organizes sailing camps for families, called "Young & Younger", which have been very popular. The OSRC also collaborated with the KRNSO to organize the Belgian Championship in Beach Sprint Rowing, a new rowing discipline with great Olympic potential.

Surfclub Inside Outside is a surf school located in Ostend. It has two locations, one by a lake and the other by the sea. Inside, at the Spuikom, you can learn to windsurf or sail. Outside, the beach atmosphere prevails, with real Belgian surfers. The club offers wing foil courses, a new trend in water sports, as well as equipment hire. Events are also organized, such as the Summer Kick-Off with free introductory courses, music and tastings. The club also offers Easter and summer camps for children, as well as evening classes for adults.

The Belgian town of Ostend is home to the Nordsee Flugverein (NZVC) flying school. NZVC offers on-site pilot training, with no online courses. The Mira public observatory is managed by a non-profit association created in 1967 by Father Pieraerts. Over the decades it has been able to evolve and develop until today it has become an essential meeting place for those interested in astronomy, whether theoretical or practical. In addition to its domed instruments, the observatory has exhibition and multimedia rooms. And as the team of animators is attentive and educational, the visit is instructive for an individual as well as for a family with children.

Imagipark is a leisure center located in Mons. It offers a variety of activities for children and adults. Attractions include an obstacle course, ball pools, a bouncy castle, climbing walls, slides, a small car circuit, foam games and a psychomotor zone. This diving center is located in Écaussinnes, in a former bluestone quarry that has been transformed into a unique space. A true paradise for divers, the site features a 15-hectare, 44-metre-deep stretch of water with attractive scenery and a multitude of fish. After more than 20 years of closure, the site is finally reopening its doors with a project that is above all human and friendly: diving courses (scuba, apnea, snorkeling), kayak and padel rentals... In addition to water sports, there's also a restaurant and, soon, accommodation.

Arkose is a French chain of indoor climbing centres, whose latest establishment recently opened on the banks of the canal, but it's more than that. Of course, there are boulders of different difficulties (from beginner to advanced) and which are renewed every week, a space dedicated to children but also a studio to follow yoga or Pilates classes and a sauna. But that's not all: there is also a relaxation area with a bar, a canteen with a menu that emphasizes vegetables and seasonal products and even... a rooftop!

The planetarium has the merit of combining two projection technologies on its dome: classic with an optical Zeiss projector and digital with a dedicated simulator. The interest of this double process: displaying a natural rendering of the celestial vault with realistic point-like stars, while allowing the projection of synthetic images and other pre-programmed animations. The sessions are adapted to all audiences (under 6 years old) with successful tales (30 minutes long) or much more specialized films: solar system, universe, space conquest.
