When to go Netherlands ?
The country can be visited perfectly in all seasons. Spring is the preferred season because of the possible mildness of the climate and the beauty of the flower fields. Rain and wind can sometimes complicate visits. Often stays are organized around large exhibition events, the one around Vermeer, in spring 2023, is a good opportunity. We advise you to avoid periods such as King's Day or New Year's Day if your budget is limited.
The weather can change very quickly. In general, the Netherlands has a temperate oceanic climate with strong winds and short, unpredictable showers. There are rainy months in July when the temperature does not exceed 20°C, but with clear skies it can easily reach 25°C and, as in any southern city, people walk around in shirtsleeves. In the winter, the temperatures oscillate between -1 °C and 5 °C on average.
