In order to safeguard the important musical heritage of Madeira, this regional meeting of philharmonic bands expresses the public's appreciation for the incomparable gaieté they provide during the typical Madériennes festivals. On Sunday, all bands participate in a parade in the main streets of Ribeira Brava before concentration on Marginal Avenue, where each presents a repertoire, then final with the execution, by all the bands, of a hymn composed specially for the event, taking the trophy, followed by a convivial party offered to all the speakers.

Santa Catarina Park welcomes this pop/rock music festival, integrated into the Funchal City day commemorations. Legendary Tigerman, Xutos & Pontapés, James or The Gift have already been part of the poster. This initiative includes other recreational activities, such as workshops and awareness campaigns on environmental and forestry issues.

This folk musical festival in the south of the island welcomes several regional, national and foreign groups.

The Association de Bandolines de Madeira, in collaboration with the town hall of Machico, and the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs organize this Festival of Tunas and Mandolines from Madeira, an event to be held at Au de Machico; tunas are musical groups of students.
