Chef Jörg Sackmann's style is "new and refined". Indeed, Sackmann's cuisine is modern and limpid, creative and tasty.

The cell phone doesn't risk disturbing, because it doesn't capture. As its name indicates, the Grotta restaurant is in a cave. If the star remains pizza, their pasta dishes (like their "Penne al Forno") are just as delicious. Homemade dishes in the purest Italian tradition. The owners of the site are set in four to satisfy their customers' appetite. If they don't speak French, they will always find a way to understand you and make themselves understood. They call it the egg drop, it's the trendy sandwich that's all the rage on social networks. Apart from some cupcakes for dessert, it's the only dish offered by this new brunch spot. Stuffed between two slices of toasted brioche, a good portion of soft scrambled eggs with a slice of melting cheddar, a secret mayo sauce and, at your choice, bacon, avocado or salmon. Our verdict: an absolute success that lives up to expectations. Beware, even before opening time a line can form at the entrance of the café, so don't wait too long!

Craving a real English breakfast, but you're in Berlin? Don't panic, the Lonely Hearts Café is here. In 2021, Amy and Nic, two English expats, decided to open this little caff to fill their crying need for a good fry-up. On the menu, the classic English breakfast of course, but also well-filled pancakes. Being in Berlin, everything is also available in vegan. If you're feeling particularly greedy, try one of their indecent milkshakes, topped with whipped cream and a cherry, like in the movies!

Brunch, brunch, brunch. You can't get enough of it, in the Kreuz-Neukölln district. In a minimalist and design setting, Sorrel serves refined small plates based on local organic and seasonal products at lunchtime and some evenings; above all, Sorrel bets on the quality of the dishes. Tip: order several plates to share, but don't miss the burrata, basil and lemon confit. Or simply sit on the terrace on a sunny day with a glass of natural wine or a small coffee and a treat.

This brand new restaurant opening in 2023 is unique, specializing in the nutrition of the future: the insect. But don't worry, the menu is of course not all made up of these little legged invertebrates. The ethos of Mikrokosmos is clear, the protection of our environment. The restaurant thus bets on a completely sustainable production by minimizing the delivery circuits and by supplying itself only with organic products resulting from the local agriculture. The concept is certainly very commendable and the execution really successful.

Mattea is a cool, trendy café where you can come during the day to recharge your batteries over a coffee, at weekends to brunch or in the late afternoon for an Italian-style aperitivo. Waffles, shakshuka and many egg dishes. Inside (nicely decorated, by the way), you can also take a look at the shop window to get an idea of the cakes of the day available. In summer, its large terrace on a very quiet street is most pleasant. And for Latin speakers, mattea, matteae, these are the delights...

The Greens Café is a beautifully furnished café in Weserstraße. The name of the café reflects its decoration: many plants and wooden furniture make it a bright and cosy place. On the menu you will find tasty dishes prepared with good products: avocado, bacon, cakes, plates to share and above all eggs in all forms (poached, scrambled, etc.). The coffee served here comes from a coffee roaster in Bremen that uses organic and fair trade beans. An excellent address for a brunch in Neukölln.

Always packed since its opening, the Peter Pane owes its good reputation to its wide choice of burgers and the friendliness of its staff. Big appetites won't go hungry: the burgers are hearty, with plenty of sauce and always accompanied by fries, of course! Vegetarians won't be outdone: the restaurant offers plenty of vegetarian alternatives. However, beware of the wait, as the restaurant is very busy.

Located above the Schwabentor (above, in the mountain), you can reach the Greiffenegg by a lift or by stairs, after the pedestrian bridge. The restaurant offers good dishes in classic and elegant rooms. Above all, the view is superb on the region and the roofs of Fribourg! Also in summer a garden run by Les Fribourg, offering the same view for the price of a glass of beer…

In a rather nice orange-coloured room, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Basel Valley and the vineyards of Weil am Rhein. The kitchen is rather traditional, a lot of pork and veal, with classic Italian cuisine. The service is family friendly and friendly.
