The Battle of the Year is a major event in Mayotte. It is the selection event that allows a hip-hop team to fly to Montpellier and participate in the national and international final of the same name. The qualifications take place in March during the Hip-hop Evolution festival. In general, about thirteen crews compete, coming from the four corners of the island. A real challenge for the young people and a great opportunity to showcase the talents of the island.
