This small youth hostel has the reputation of being difficult to find, but one ends up spotting its blue and white sign. The entrance is reminiscent of a mountain lodge or a stopover. The place is well kept and impeccably clean. Double rooms or dormitories are available and the beds are all very comfortable. Some rooms have a nice view of Mount Fuji, which does not spoil anything. Nice rooms with heating. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, some Japanese basics will be useful to be accommodated according to their tastes in this traditional establishment.

This youth hostel is located in an old gasshō-zukuri farm near Suganuma. From the bus stop of Suganuma, you have to go down the river, cross the big bridge and take on the right for about 2 km.

Fishermen's Minshuku. You will eat excellent seafood. Ask for a room in the old main house and not in the annexe.
