The oldest hotel in Nikkō and the most classic, opened in 1873. Located above the sacred bridge on the hill. It combines rather rustic European elements with traditional Japanese elements. Among other celebrities, Lindbergh, Indira Gandhi, Einstein and Rockefeller among others have stayed here. Very beautiful buildings in which the magic of Japan mixes with a certain idea of luxury. The hotel is also famous for its bar le DACITE, which offers no less than 200 kinds of single malt whisky, and many cocktails.
