This yurt camp is located below Ayaz Kala and allows you to spend a night in the nomadic way, in the heart of the desert. About fifteen yurts in total dominate the surrounding desert. All the members of this family are charming and it's nice to discover another way of life with such a nice gentleman with such an old-fashioned French. The accommodation is simple and authentic.

An establishment ideally located a few meters from the Gour Emir and which offers quality rooms and services. Some rooms overlook the mausoleum while the roof terrace offers a magnificent view of the Gour Emir and its surroundings. You can have a drink there in the evening, to enjoy the quietness of the area. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The English-speaking staff is particularly pleasant. Prices may be a little high in high season, but try to negotiate.

The former austere and very Soviet U-shaped building was completely renovated in 2013 to offer spacious rooms with a pleasant and cosy decoration. The whole gives something very luxurious and expected from a business hotel. The rooms are spacious and equipped with a luxurious bathroom with bathtub and free internet access. The Asia Khiva has the luxurious looks and all the amenities of a top-of-the-range hotel. It has been completely renovated recently and reopened in March 2018. Yesterday still a bit old-fashioned, it now presents a new face, and its performances are appreciable. The Asia Khiva had for him the advantage of being well located facing the south gate and above all of being the only upscale establishment in Khiva with the Hayat Inn. Olga Daniels owns three apartments in the centre of Ferghana. The rooms are spacious and clean. It took two years of work to renovate this small caravanserai and turn it into a pleasant hotel. Fitted out in the cells, the rooms are obviously not very big, but decorated with taste in traditional Uzbek style, and comfortably equipped with small bathroom and air conditioning. They are articulated on two levels, around an octagonal courtyard, and a vast iwan decorates the second floor. The most expensive rooms are very spacious while the standard rooms provide the minimum for a good value for money, after negotiation. The establishment is a little off-centre, 3 km from the bazaar but connected to the centre by minibus.

Large traditional nineteenth century house owned by a rich Jewish dealer in spices, cotton and tea. The courtyard is flanked by a large iwan behind which is the restaurant dining room. The walls are excavated from niches where ancient books and vases of China are aligned: the private collection of the hotel manager. The wall is adorned with Hebrew sentences. This hotel is located in the heart of Kokand and 500 m from the palace. It has recently undergone a facelift, making it a good accommodation option in the area. The rooms are large, the bathrooms have finally been redone and the welcome is very pleasant. All in a kitschy decor as you wish! The comfort of the beds being random, test your mattress before accepting the room. The prices for foreigners that we note here are of course negotiable. Its Eco Café restaurant in the basement has become a real cultural center for the young generation of Tashkent.

The gray facade is not inviting at first glance, but the atmosphere changes as soon as you walk through the reception door. There is space and a touch of exoticism distilled by the wooden furniture and the green plants that seem to be closely watched by a parrot in a cage. The rooms are not exactly "boutique", a term that is a bit overused in Uzbekistan, but they are clean and pleasant to live in. Overall, the Falcon offers good value for money given its prime location. Breakfast is served in a bright room adjacent to the reception.

Of course, you don't wish to sleep so close to Navoi. But if for some reason you are stuck for the night, you will find this hotel at the exit of Karmana particularly convenient and pleasant. With its blue facade with yellow border, it cannot be missed. The rooms are in Uzbek style, a kitsch, but very well kept and comfortable. The balcony is a little more for the rooms side of the street. You can also dine in the hotel restaurant. You have to count around 15 000 hospitals for a full meal.

This agency rents dacha for a day or a week on the banks of the Charvaq reservoir. Unfortunately, you will have to speak Russian and provide a car, either with a driver from Tashkent or on the spot, so as not to be too isolated. The dacha for rent are numerous, there is something for all (bad) tastes. There are four or more people staying here and taking advantage of the kitchen, but the equipment and comfort are relatively basic compared to the price.

Less than 1 km from the reservoir, this resort is run by the Dolores Travel Group in Tashkent and is one of the most popular addresses in the area. The main activities are the beach, sauna and contemplation from the balcony of the well-equipped rooms. It's a great place to stay if you want to get around Tashgang, even if the price of the rooms is justified more by the view of the reservoir than by the quality of the rooms, which are not very special.

Conveniently located in the heart of the city and a 10-minute walk from the palace, Hotel Khan offers comfortable and well-equipped rooms (TV, air conditioning, wifi). The decoration is a little eye-catching, in a style that is a bit bourgeois and western and the rooms are not very spacious but it is a reliable address. Again, don't forget to negotiate prices! It is possible to dine at the hotel, provided you have booked the day before or in the morning. The reception also has contacts with local (English-speaking) guides.

Excellent value for money for this brand new establishment! All the rooms of the hotel are equipped with television, air conditioning and refrigerator. The bathrooms have a bathtub. The decoration is very simple, there is space and comfort, and the service is pleasant. You can reach the city centre in a short taxi ride, or you can take one of the many martsrutkas that connect University Boulevard with Registan Street, all in less than 5 minutes.

It's a tiny establishment nestled at the end of a quiet back alley. An effort has been made to give cachet to the old house arranged around a small courtyard, with wooden balconies and handicrafts on the walls. The rooms are Spartan, without any particular character, but comfortable and cheap, and the staff is extremely friendly. Add to this an impeccable location, just behind the Registan and a stone's throw from the bazaar, excellent breakfasts and an Olympian calm, and you get great value for money.

This small 3-storey hotel, built recently, has taken a place of honor in the family of the capital's Art Hotels chain. Located in a residential area but between two important and lively streets of Tashkent (Shota Rustavelli and Nukus ko'chasi streets). The halal breakfast is included and very correct. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. A mini bar (without alcohol) and a bathrobe are at your disposal. The ATM machine and the possibility to change money at the reception at any time are very helpful!

This hotel has recently opened near the airport but is more for businessmen. It is not ideal for visiting Namangan and you will have to take cabs to reach the city center. However, as Namangan lacks accommodation options, it is a good alternative in the valley. The rooms are simple but clean. The beds are not very comfortable but it remains acceptable. On the other hand, do not hesitate to negotiate the prices which are too high considering the location and the services.

Beware, don't be fooled by the "neoclassical" façade and the hotel's pompous name: it is not a castle for the elite of the valley either... It is not too bad but the rooms are not very big, the beds could be a little more comfortable and the decoration modernized. Nevertheless, it is a typical example of the new constructions in Andijan that still keeps prices affordable. It is recommended to negotiate, as always, because the rates are in the image of the clientele, more business oriented than tourism oriented.

Watch your eyes! Here is the emblematic hotel of the reconstruction of Andijan: columns, fake marble, painted gilding, solid concrete, wood panelling ... everything is there. It's the temple of bad taste, but it's the pride of the city. Obviously not for everyone, and not within reach of everyone's pocket, but it's worth the detour. The rooms are spacious and comfortable: for this small palace, we expected nothing less. It remains to be seen how the materials, not exactly top quality, used for construction will age.

This hotel is located in a quiet side street overlooking Istiqlol Street, the main artery of Kokand. The property is clean and comfortable, with pleasant and sometimes spacious rooms, although very basic and devoid of character. Some of the staff speak English, which should make it easier for you to negotiate for the room and to glean some information during your stay. The welcome is pleasant which makes it a good address at low prices. Breakfasts are okay.

This relatively new hotel is located in the city centre of Karchi. The posted prices are obviously overvalued in relation to the services offered and the comfort, so don't hesitate to make the difficult task of visiting several rooms and negotiating rates, especially if you are spending more than one night in town. In the meantime, if you stop over in Karchi, this is an option to keep in mind: the rooms are quite small and simple but it's not too uncomfortable and there's not much else to compete with the establishment.

This newly built hotel offers comfortable rooms in the heart of the city centre. As with the previous establishment, the whole does not exude a crazy charm and some rooms are a little small but, for a one-night stopover, comfort is there. It seems that the two establishments have agreed on the rates to be displayed in Karchi, but here again, negotiation remains possible depending on the time you plan to stay and the hotel's occupancy at the time of your visit. Breakfast is fine, served as a buffet.

As you enter Boysun, on the right, a discreet sign indicates the Boysun Hotel. It is in fact a guest house, run by a charming little family who have been welcoming tourists for a few years . Salim Aka welcomes you to his home: he offers 6 rooms including three doubles, one triple and two rooms that can accommodate up to 5 people. The whole place is very clean, the showers are shared. The rooms are arranged around a central courtyard, where breakfast is served. A good opportunity to get in touch with a local family.

This hotel opened its doors less than five years ago and is in pretty good shape. The whole is exemplary cleanliness, the bedding is comfortable, the rooms are spacious and the welcome is warm. The rooms do not have private bathrooms: the shower room is on the ground floor and is shared but extremely clean. An ideal option for a stopover in the region. Correct breakfast served in the dining room and possibility to have lunch and dinner (on reservation). Local and traditional cuisine.

A camp of 20 comfortable yurts. Showers and toilets have been built hard with hot water. There's also electricity. The stay includes a picnic at the lake, all meals and a short camel ride. Groups are more frequent than independent travellers due to the difficulty of access and the lack of suitable tourist infrastructure to get here. Those of you looking for the absolute calm of the desert may be a little disappointed if you come across a busy day and a noisy group.

On the ground floor, the hotel has an inexpensive home-cooked restaurant. Small Uzbek and Russian menu. A simple and affordable but comfortable hotel, very well located and which does the essentials with a real sense of welcome!

Opened in 2015, this establishment in Ichan Kala, near the bazaar, is very well run by Shakir and his family. His daughters speak English, which is especially helpful, especially since tours as well as transfers to Urengench and Bukhara are offered. Tea and fruits are offered at any time of the day, and a small kitchen is available for guests. A very good address, which has the particularity, still quite rare in Khiva, to be open all year round. Meals are available on request.

Opened in March 2017, this hotel, beautifully decorated with local fabrics, is one of the few establishments in the city to date, and undoubtedly the best address. A good choice if you want to spend the night in Marguilan. In addition to the rooms, which have no specific character but have the advantage of still being new, you will find a restaurant, a small bar and above all a piece of garden where it is pleasant to relax at the end of the day when the cooler weather returns. Opened in May 2017, this very clean and spacious establishment is well located, north of the city's main crossroads. You will benefit from a swimming pool, a billiard table and even a fitness room. Very good value for money considering the equipment. The advantage of the establishment is that it is new, and in season the management calls on English-speaking staff. The disadvantage is its location, close to a very busy avenue, but you can't say that the nights in Ferghana are very noisy, so you should spend good nights here!

TopChan Hostel is a good address shared by backpackers, hikers, cyclists and long distance travellers of all kinds. It is a real meeting place and exchange between contemporary nomads from all countries on the Silk Road. Strategically located in a quiet and authentic area close to the airport and the central station, the rooms are in dormitories (mixed and women only), single, double or triple rooms. Facilities also include a sauna, secure lockers and a fully equipped communal kitchen.
