The best parties Kyrgyzstan

For a week in April, in Bishkek's Ala Too square, the Kyrgyz celebrate their musical traditions in all their forms. Instruments are on display under the yurts set up for the occasion, while the stage at the foot of the Manas statue features a succession of folk groups, singers and storytellers. Oral traditions in Kyrgyzstan are still very much alive, and have gained in popularity since independence, reflecting a return to traditional and national values. Spectators come to dance in the evening.
