FISH TAIL LODGE

Lodge €€€

This is Pokhara's most poetic luxury hotel: you have to take a boat for a few minutes to reach it. The lodge is a well-placed old address near Lakeside, offering an enchanting setting. A vast, green eden with a breathtaking view of the lake from the restaurant terrace. The rooms, some of which are currently being renovated and others which have retained an old-fashioned air of period lodges in attractive woodwork, are arranged in rotunda cottages and all have private terraces. Small swimming pool with wooden deck.

JUNGLE WILDLIFE CAMP

Lodge

This is the right address for those on a budget who want to feel like they're in a lodge: the luxury here is to have a breathtaking view of the Rapti River from the shared terrace and room balconies. For the price, the comfort of the rooms (air conditioning, private bathroom...) is truly optimal. It's charming, if a little old-fashioned, with impeccable cleanliness and a warm welcome. From one of the terraces, while enjoying breakfast, a meal or a drink, you'll have the chance to observe crocodiles and rhinoceroses - a real spectacle.

JUNGLE VILLA RESORT

Lodge €€€

This old lodge was one of the pioneers of Chitwan, and is now a little dated. Some rooms have a balcony overlooking the river, while others face the garden. We recommend you choose the former, even in the lower category (Elephant room), to admire the view. The food here is delicious, and the swimming pool a welcome addition. Safaris by jeep, on foot or by pirogue accompanied by an experienced guide are of the highest quality: you're guaranteed to see rhinos. In the evening, spectacular Tharu dances are programmed.

BARAHI JUNGLE LODGE

Lodge €€€

This is a luxury safari lodge from Bahari, a luxury Nepalese hotel group. It's probably also the most recent in its category, and it exceeds expectations: the straw-roofed bungalows are designed using natural materials while guaranteeing comfort and a refined setting. All have a view of the river from their private terraces, so you can catch a glimpse of a rhinoceros in the morning light. The stone-paved swimming pool is the centerpiece, round and cool. Exquisite restaurant, luxury spa.

RIVER VIEW JUNGLE CAMP

Lodge

This little lodge is really perfect, the best plan for budget travelers as it offers both affordable and cute rooms, and a breathtaking view of the river from its garden and the balconies of some rooms. It's not uncommon to see a rhino in the evening or in the morning! A front-row seat. The rooms, decorated with poetic wall stickers, are air-conditioned and feature brand-new bathrooms and private terraces. The hotel's service is really appreciable, as is its restaurant.

BARDIA WILDLIFE RESORT

Lodge

The best budget hotel in Bardia, in this relatively inaccessible national park. The rooms are rudimentary in comfort, with mud walls and straw roofs, and are equipped with mosquito nets and fans, but with a private bathroom and hot water, which is much appreciated. We like the hotel's service, the good food, the beautiful lush garden and the guides' experience in tracking tigers and leopards. The location is perfect, on the edge of the forest, separated from the park by a beautiful river.
