Finely carved vases, delicate teapots, butter dishes, salt shakers, cups, ashtrays, original plates, decorative objects of all kinds, various animal statuettes - ducks, owls, cats or fish... This workshop-boutique opened in 1996 and offers an almost unlimited choice of handmade ceramic articles, accessible to all budgets. The store is located away from the heart of the village, facing the lago de Atitlán, while the factory is located at the back, in a small garden. Special mention to the very warm welcome.

This beautiful and spacious store features a mural of a woman painting ceramic vases. Once inside, there are beautiful pieces, from plates to dishes to spoon rests. The workshop is located upstairs, in a large room where you can admire the items that have not yet been decorated, some white, others of a copper color. The explanations on the manufacturing process are interesting and detail several steps, including the molding, the resting time and the painting.

This small space, nestled at the end of a staircase near the central plaza, is run by a brother and sister: he paints, while she takes care of the customers and the store. There are beautiful and colorful paintings, showing various panoramas of the Atitlan lake, religious events in the Highlands, processions in Chichicastenango, full moon ceremonies and sunsets in a variety of colors.

This family business opened in 1880 and was the first morería in Chichicastenango. Handed down from generation to generation, the craftsmanship is used to create unique pieces of great finesse. The store is like a museum, with a beautiful collection of creations on display, ranging from wooden masks to traditional clothing. Even if you don't intend to buy them, you will contemplate them with interest. In addition, the establishment organizes demonstrations of traditional dances every Thursday and Sunday.
