Luca's Italian restaurant on the main road, with its charming accent and spontaneity, offers a warm welcome and a smile. The tempting menu invites you to sample a fusion cuisine that revisits Asian dishes, with many vegetarian versions. There's a real effort behind the plates, which are beautifully presented, the portions are copious and, above all, you're in for a treat. We recommend the Vietnamese noodles with peanut sauce and the Buddha bowl.

Choosing to eat in one of the Manila Hotel's restaurants is already an opportunity to immerse yourself in this historic place. Here's an address that feels good in Manila's somewhat monotonous culinary landscape: a vegan restaurant, yes, but a Filipino restaurant nonetheless! When it opened in 2018, Cosmic had at heart to make vegetarian cuisine accessible to Filipinos so unused to not eating meat. Near the main road, towards San Pedro beach, this café-restaurant is brand new in the gastronomic landscape of Romblon and yet, it already promises some nice surprises. Run by an enthusiastic Franco-Filipino couple, the place is quite charming, with a nice elevated terrace and wooden tables. But above all, one comes and comes back here for the food since everything is delicious, from the chicken burger with its melting bun to the profiteroles for dessert and the grilled tuna filet. Nestled in a discreet street just off the beach at Station 3, this is an address full of charm and authenticity. Built in a traditional Filipino style, this pretty wooden house is elegant with its stained glass windows, handcrafted objects, high ceiling and dark parquet flooring, not to mention the pleasantly planted outdoor courtyard. On the plate, you'll be treated to a revisitation of Philippine cuisine, served with great care and refinement. Don't miss the kare kare or the ginataang isda, a local yellow curry.

This Chinese-inspired restaurant focuses on seafood. Here, everything is fresh, from curacha (a type of crab endemic to the region, in a delicious garlic sauce) to latu salad (a type of seaweed), lapu-lapu (grouper) and lobster. There's no set menu here: waiters present the day's fish according to the catch and arrivals. You choose your fish and it's prepared directly for you in the kitchen. All fresh and tasty, this is a good address.

Friendly and romantic atmosphere for this very good restaurant and its pleasant terrace. On the menu you will find a wide selection of seafood, meats but also pasta and salads. We appreciate the gambas with garlic, the scallops from New Zealand or the smoked salmon. Also to be discovered: the cochinillo, a roasted pig for special days. The desserts are also not to be missed, provided you like sweet and tasty cakes. On Sundays, a large all-you-can-eat buffet is offered as a lunch.

Alongside the must-try smoothies, homemade granola, matcha tea and the use of superfoods (oats, chia seeds...), there are Israeli and Mediterranean options full of flavor and indulgence. A little piece of Spain in Camiguin? That's what Peninsulare Kape Art has been offering its customers for some years now. The menu features cuisine from the Iberian Peninsula, with classics such as succulent tapas and tasty paellas to share. And it's a success. Set in a large garden by the sea, the place, run by a team of women, exudes a kind of positive energy that is reinforced by the friendly music playing. You leave with a full belly and a gentle joie de vivre.

One of our favorites! In the heart of a rice paddy with a view of the sea, we arrive at this restaurant with its carefully crafted aesthetic and eclectic decor blending colonial influences, Spanish tiles, Vietnamese lanterns and a vast open kitchen where you can admire the chefs in action. On the slate, an ultra-fresh menu that adapts to the day's catch and produce grown on the farm next door. The chef, Carmel, trained at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu cooking school in Bangkok, and brilliantly reinvents Southeast Asian gastronomy.

Taste is the first 100% vegan café in El Nido. An intimate space with a "loft-chic" spirit where you can sit around low tables on an artificial grassy area upstairs. On the menu, invigorating and vitamin-packed breakfasts based on excellent coffees (try the soy milk cappuccinos) and smoothie bowls, a colorful mix of fresh fruits, seeds and antioxidants of all kinds. But also wraps and pastas, as good as beautiful, in addition to being healthy and not very expensive. To fill up on energy at any time of the day!

This is the Harana Resort restaurant. In a large, airy nippa hut, you dine on low tables to the sound of the waves. This is the place to go to discover Philippine gastronomy, and more specifically that of Mindanao. The menu is extensive, so you can try a variety of dishes all concocted with precision and beautifully presented on banana leaves. The colorful plates are as pretty as they are tasty. In Siargao, Shaka Café is located directly on Cloud 9. It's housed in a beach bungalow, with that extra touch of coolness we love so much. We recommend going there especially in the morning for their breakfast of champions, beautiful and good. On the menu: fresh fruit juices, smoothies, granola bowls with yoghurt and exotic fruits. At lunchtime, fabulous 100% vegetarian and ultra-gourmet burgers await you. The place is very chill. It's healthy, appetizing and, as is often the case in the Philippines, inexpensive.

Decorated in Hawaiian style, this large, airy restaurant is run by a couple of friendly French-speaking Belgians. The specialties are burgers, but there are also other options, including vegetarian, Filipino and international (pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, omelettes). The bread, pastries and jam are all homemade, as is the French-style pâté de campagne - amazing! Enjoy a hearty breakfast in the morning, or sip cocktails to lounge music in the evening.

With an imposing view over Panglao and the mangroves, New Zealand owner Emily (also behind the superb La Casita de Baclayon bed & breakfast) has drawn on her culinary inspirations to create an interesting menu combining Mexican, Caribbean and Asian specialties. Everything is absolutely fresh, local, tasty and original. All served in a tasteful Mediterranean-Filipino decor, as colorful as the dishes themselves. A charming address for brunch, lunch or afternoon tea!

A cosy, unpretentious restaurant with a friendly, family atmosphere. The main attraction is the succulent Filipino cuisine, prepared with passion. Many vegetarian and vegan variants of traditional dishes are offered, which is much appreciated. For fish lovers, orders must be placed a few hours in advance, or even the day before. The mango float dessert is deliciously refreshing! Come early, as there are often long queues in the evening. Excellent value for money.

On the main road, 15 minutes from the center of El Nido, Kusina Ni Maya is a very good address, well known by the locals, much less by tourists. Traditional wooden hut, with an open restaurant room, the setting is calm and pleasant. On the menu, a whole range of Filipino specialties, we recommend Dynamite as a starter, these long green peppers coated with cheese and fried, as a main course the sizzling tofu, the sisig pork or the sweet and sour lapu-lapu. The portions are very generous. The staff is very attentive. A good local restaurant.

Perched at the top of a hill, the High Ridge is renowned above all for its large panoramic terrace offering spectacular views over the whole of Cagayan de Oro. In the evening, the atmosphere is very charming, with garlands of lights responding to the lights of the town. And the good news is that the food at High Ridge is excellent too! International dishes (burgers, pizzas, pastas) as well as all the classics of Filipino cuisine, with a Mexican twist. A shuttle service is available to reach the venue.

In a romantic white-fronted colonial house, you're served in a cozy Spanish-influenced interior decorated with old antiques reminiscent of grandparents' homes. On the palate, it's traditional regional cuisine reinterpreted with a modern twist. Don't miss Cagayan's specialty, Sinuglaw (a dish combining beef and fish ceviche) or Surol de Caminguin (chicken soup with coconut milk). A fine sample of Northern Mindanao gastronomy.

A good address, with a nice terrace, in blue and white tones, located on the pleasant Lio beach, 15 minutes from El Nido. The Punta Playa restaurant is run by a Spaniard. It offers Mediterranean and Asian fusion cuisine of excellent quality. We recommend the paellas, speciality of the house. Also several vegetarian options and many tapas, everything is prepared with fresh and good quality products. The service, if not fast, is friendly. The wine is good. The setting is idyllic.

On the top floor of, we come across this oasis of wood and greenery. It is the most popular vegetarian restaurant in Baguio, with very low prices. It serves simple food, based on pasta, noodles and local red rice. The ingredients are fresh and local. The menu also includes a banana flower burger (KKK sliders). On clear days, the balcony offers a beautiful view of downtown. Once a month, there are exhibits and all works are for sale to benefit the Victor Otezya Community Art Space. Worth a visit!

The village of Baclayon is definitely full of great places to eat! Crescencia Food & Coffee welcomes visitors in a charming ancestral wooden house, a stone's throw from the church. The atmosphere is simply unique. Books, plants, board games, vintage furniture... every detail has been carefully considered. You'll feel like you've stepped back in time and are welcomed into a friend's home. Enjoy Filipino or Western dishes to the accompaniment of jazzy music in an elegant setting. Ideal for a coffee break with a sweet treat.

A surprising address, in the good sense of the word! Located 10 minutes walk from the pier where the ferries leave for the neighboring islands, the reputation of this discreet restaurant is well established. It is even said that it is the best vegetarian restaurant of all Cebu. So we did not test all the restaurants but indeed everything here is absolutely delicious. The ramen, the tofu sizzlig or tofu teryaki dishes served in small banana leaves bags, or the Veefy Burger, everything is a pure delight. To be tried before or after a ferry!

Once a simple cigar distributor (Tabacalera and Alhambra in particular), this grand establishment now offers a wine cellar, a café, a delicatessen and a renowned restaurant. It serves some of Cebu's finest cuisine, with a focus on Franco-Mediterranean influences. You'll find imported products from all over Europe, Australia and the United States. A dessert platter will satisfy even the most demanding palates. Prices are higher than usual, but the quality is there. An address for the homesick...

In an authentic and very local atmosphere, this restaurant serves traditional Filipino cuisine, with many specialties based on fish and seafood. Generous portions of calamari, prawns and other fish prepared Kubo-style are devoured al fresco in a family atmosphere (even musical on certain evenings, especially at weekends)! Prices are very reasonable and service is always with a smile. A popular local address.

A little apart from the other restaurants and hotels, Balikbayan is a discreet family-run restaurant open to the street, with a few exotic straw huts at the back under which you can sit and eat. The whole place has character and charm. The dishes are carefully prepared, the portions are gourmet and there are even a few options for vegetarians. Mainly classic Filipino dishes based on chicken, pork or fish. A place to eat well for little money, in an intimate setting.

Maxine by The Sea, which has been located on the waterfront in Lucap for over 30 years, is one of the best places to eat in the area. We come here as much for its pleasant terrace that looks out over the sea and offers a beautiful view of the Hundred Islands as for tasting crab and lobster, on fresh and tempting seafood platters. And at very reasonable prices considering the quality and quantity! It is also a lodge where it is possible to spend the night in one of the nine rooms (even if we have a preference for the restaurant).

Located in an old colonial mansion, this restaurant serves traditional Filipino cuisine (sizzling gambas, barbecued pork, pancit canton, chopsuey, chicken soup) at rather modest prices. The wooden decor, from the floor to the ceiling, including the furniture, plunges us straight into another atmosphere. Unfortunately, the quality of the dishes is uneven and service can be slow. The braised chicken is very popular with the locals. A good deal in Tagbilaran. A popular address with the locals.

We can say that the Log Cabin is a bit of an institution in Sagada since visitors flock to this restaurant since 1991. Restaurant where we serve western dishes rich in flavors, in a small cottage full of charm. The food is very good, we serve mainly meat but also other recipes that change regularly. A French chef sometimes comes to cook during the weekends (all-you-can-eat buffet in season at 350 PHP). It is advised to make a reservation especially in high season when the restaurant can be full. Good address.

Located in the Island City Mall, this is a restaurant specializing in seafood (but not only) that is much appreciated by the locals. The service is pleasant and the products are good. We recommend the delicious prawns and tilapia, or the braised pork for meat lovers. There are also gargantuan platters to share with shrimp, chicken, egg rolls, vegetable chopsuey and pancit noodles. Friday, Saturday and Sunday lunchtime is an all-you-can-eat buffet! And for the price, it's well worth it.

At Café Leona, in the famous Crisologo street, they serve Ilocana cuisine such as Bagnet (fried pork belly), but also Japanese and Italian dishes. The restaurant is in fact the former home of the famous Ilocana poetess Leona Florentino. Inside, the decoration immediately takes us back a few centuries, every corner seems to be a scene from an old movie. You can also eat on the terrace. It is an institution in Vigan, a good address but very touristy, expect to queue.

In the heart of El Nido, Happiness Beach Bar is a bar-restaurant with a chic-casual atmosphere, with counter swings and rattan furniture. It serves mainly specialties at the confluence of Israeli and Mediterranean cuisine with a vegetarian and vegan twist. Good and healthy in short. Falafels, pitas, hummus... everything is delicious! In the morning, it's bowls of fruit and granola, beautiful and vitaminized, in the evening, the choice is between one of the countless cocktails, undoubtedly among the best on the island.

The name cannot fool you: Here is a very good French restaurant with a bakery where you can enjoy good bread and pastries. Ideal for breakfast or for a well prepared tartar.

Both a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant and a cocktail bar, this is a highly recommended address! On the restaurant side, only fresh quality products: salmon ceviches and other fishes, a multitude of tapas revisited in the Japanese way with original flavors of yuzu, edamame puree, sesame, mushroom and chicken yakitoris, homemade sushis to fall. The cocktails are also very original and elegantly presented. Festive atmosphere on weekend evenings and very friendly service! We love it.

On the first floor of the Red Planet Hotel Manila Bay, here is a small and unpretentious restaurant that does not look like much but where they serve a very honest cuisine. On the menu, all the usual Filipino specialties, fried chicken, chicken adobo, sisig made with pork cheek, chopsuey, all accompanied by rice and good quality vegetables. On the sweet side, try the famous halo-halo made with ice cream. The prices are very reasonable, the quality also and the staff is welcoming. A little extra: they also serve a traditional Filipino breakfast.

The former French Coffee Shop has undergone a facelift and has now become the Bistro. A perfect place to relax, meet new people and find information on travel, diving and excursions in the area. The friendly French owner will welcome you to this well-established venue. French touch oblige, serving baguette sandwiches, crêpes, croissants and even a cheese platter! Coffee and lunch breaks recommended.
