This pretty upstairs room - or its shady terrace - is home to cuisine created by young Japanese nationals with a gift for cooking and sweet, original flavors. Bigger appetites will love the bowls or curry dishes based on chicken, fish, tofu or seafood. Makis and sushis. Absolutely delicious.

In 2007, Chef Takeya Matsumoto opened his own restaurant in Mexico City, after working for several years as a chef in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. His dishes include stews, kebabs of all kinds, robatas (Japanese grills) and a myriad of other Japanese specialties. It has possibly the best sushi in town. On colder days, you can enjoy comforting ramen and udon noodles. The best soup is made in old pots.
