Golf courses Dominican Republic

Designed by Robert Trent Jones in 1978, the course appeals to golfers of all levels. It has a small inland lake and a seaside hole. Options include 9, 18 or 36 holes. Lessons for all levels, beginners and advanced, are available by reservation (prices on the website). For a bite to eat, two restaurants. For entertainment outside the golf course, a games room. A shop. Playa Dorada golf is accessible to all, contradicting the belief that golf is only for the elite.

Guavaberry Golf & Country Club is home to the first 18-hole golf course to be built in the Dominican Republic. Designed by Gary Player, the course was laid out on gently sloping hillsides and traverses several rock formations. There is also a riding school here, opened in 2004, perhaps one of the most complete in the country (qualified staff and veterinarian). One can try galloping in the heart of vast virgin areas.
