This string of colored houses of Victorian architecture unfolds in front of the Malecón. They stand out a bit from the surrounding architecture and seem to have been built to allow photographers to bring back a nice picture of Samana... Nevertheless, there are a few restaurants and commercial premises in the area, alternating with empty shops. It is in the basement of a small shopping mall that Patrick, a Frenchman, is installed. The Dominican stones (larimar and amber) inspire him to create beautiful rings, pendants, bracelets, necklaces... Patrick also makes beautiful reproductions of Spanish silver and gold coins, mounted in medals, bracelets, earrings or rings.
