People slept, ate and stocked ships with goods. Closed for 15 years, the site has undergone a facelift: since 2019, it has housed a restaurant, a café and a grocery store (oil, coffee, cereals). A stop at the Emporio Echaurren, with its marble counters and wooden pantries, is like stepping back into the mythical Valparaiso of the 20th century!

Beyond the program that is offered, you can enjoy the vast bookstore and the quality temporary exhibitions. There is also a cafeteria, a museum of American folk art and a wine library. Guided tours are available free of charge. An excellent place to get acquainted with Chilean and South American culture.

Read moreViña would not be the same without this mythical and charming place. Crowded from Wednesday evening, this establishment with its bohemian airs undeniably reminds Valparaiso. Several rooms and terraces are open on the floor, colourful and decorated, you would think you were in a Valpo alley! You can eat pizzas, calzones and drink what you need to spend a lively evening. Gastronomes, don't go there, the food is not exceptional and the wait is sometimes long. However, it is a pleasant stopover and the prices are very affordable.

Crowded with students and foreigners, the place is festive and good-natured, we waddle and go wild on hits of the 1970s, disco, electro and more commercial titles. Obviously the reggaeton and other bachata do not escape the playlist of the DJ. We don't see the time passing and we stay there easily until the end of the night! Aim rather Friday and Saturday around 1 am!

There are also exhibitions and performances on very current topics such as feminism, sexual freedom, terrorism, etc. The theatre now has three cultural spaces around Santiago.
TEATRO NESCAFÉ DE LAS ARTES
