A warm and relaxed restaurant with a small, well-ventilated and very pleasant garden terrace at lunchtime and an open fire in the evening around beautiful wooden tables in various shapes. Without being gourmet it is elegant and very well presented. They serve a classic and successful Peruvian cuisine. Many of the products are local, even the local draft beer from Cerveceria del Valle. We liked the creamy aji de gallina. The portions are generous as they often are. The service is attentive. In short, a very good option.

A simple author's cuisine served with excellent products. There are many generous meat dishes, homemade chorizo from alpaca, braised osso buco cooked with love for hours, homemade pasta and crispy vegetables. Home made ice cream. Atmosphere between bistro and warm brasserie. Cherry on a satisfied stomach, the house often offers chilcanos during special promotions. In short, enter this little yellow house with your eyes closed, the chef will do the rest. Another quality and creative address that seduced us.

This Peruvian tavern, located in a pretty casona with a wooded decor and azulejos on the floor, is a gastronomic boom. The place is always busy with a simple formula: generous grandma's cooking to share. You can find stews, sautéed spaghetti, giblets, a well-served lomo saltado... and, on weekends, breakfasts of the same order. Book via their website. On Sundays, go early or queue up in a good mood. Isolina was very well placed in 20th position of the World's 50 Best in Latin America.

Mullu is an art gallery and craft shop on the ground floor selling t-shirts and paintings, and a rather simple café/resto upstairs with a few small tables and colourful walls. You can try the tajine de cordero or the Thai curry and other exotic flavours. Nice little terrace and balcony overlooking the Plaza. It's slow, but as usual. Sometimes music and events in the evening which is a real plus in this very quiet village. To test, the establishment had just been taken again and it has the merit to change a little the menu.

This is a contemporary and elegant address located inside the Antigua Casona San Blas hotel that stands out for its short menu based on fresh and seasonal products. The space is warm and intimate with soft chairs and a quiet atmosphere. On the plates, soups, salads and sandwiches for the hungry. Trout, alpaca, lomo saltado or sautéed quinoa for vegetarians, two generous specialities stand out: osso buco or lamb seco, meats cooked in spices and over a low heat. Generous desserts and coffees. Seledonia is a little woman who practices her chef's skills with her family and creates tasty local cuisine. You'll find crispy maracuya trout, quinoa-covered pollo novo andino, alpaca meat cooked in dark beer or generous carnivorous sandwiches. A picanteria is a kind of local canteen that offers a homemade and generous cuisine. In this neighbouring district of Miraflores (on the other side of the expressway) this address where you are neck and neck offers fish dishes by the kilo and prepared just now, traditional Creole dishes to share and turn off the wifi to talk to your neighbour. Gaston Acurio recommends it. Be careful though, even if the atmosphere is popular, the prices are high, but the result is to lick your lips. Try to get there early instead.
