Railway companies Romania

Established in 1880 (even though the first train to run on Romanian territory, then Austro-Hungarian, did so in the Banat region in 1854), the Compania Națională de Căi Ferate Române (CFR), for National Company of Romanian Railways, is the national public company in charge of the operation of the Romanian rail network. The Romanian territory is largely covered by the train, and international lines serve the neighboring countries.
