This small pension, also known as "Gabriel's house", was named after an Italian architect who completely renovated it with a lot of character. It is adorable and warm, the best address for small budgets. The largest rooms, with private bathroom, are air-conditioned, while the economic ones have a fan and a common bathroom. The Palm Grove is a modest hotel very central. Perfect for a family vacation, in rustic bungalows under the coconut trees facing the sea, or in some large self-catering houses. The lodge is small and quiet. The activities are ideal to enjoy the magical environment: diving (PADI), snorkeling, quad biking, sea safaris, fishing, but also simply beach volleyball games on the beach or a horseback ride at sunset... We enjoy the terrace directly on the sea and the pool. The prices are reasonable.

Since 1992, this youth hostel opened by the charismatic Fatima is an institution in Maputo as well as in Tofo. We like the atmosphere of a cosmopolitan hub where we can get information about the city or the country from the super-professional staff. We like the inner courtyard, the terrace, the colored walls and the lively restaurant-bar, the starting point to go out in Maputo. If Fatima has a big heart by opening orphanages, we regret the dilapidation of the rooms, especially the dormitory without air-conditioning and overcrowded, the worn out mattresses and the approximate cleanliness.
