In this very Catholic country, Easter celebrations are accompanied by rites and traditions. After Palm Sunday, Holy Week and fasting are observed until the Easter bonfire (Vuzmenka), the nightly bonfire on Holy Saturday in front of the main church, the candle procession. On Sunday and Monday, the Resurrection is celebrated with songs, the release of rattles and clappers, the basket of offerings, coloured eggs, buns, the Easter lamb at the table, and feast meals.
