OFFICINE
Read moreWith its sober and industrial decor, Officine is far from being a pharmacy, even if the drinks can sometimes soothe the aches! This contemporary bar welcomes an urban, young and trendy clientele. People come here to taste the local draught beers and especially those made by the house (Officine spéciale or Officine blanche). The Flon district is very lively and the bar's terrace is packed in summer. The mixed boards, the mini-burgers and the wraps accompany your aperitif break with good quality gourmet products.
BRASSERIE DES TOURS (BDT)
Read moreA craft brewery located right at the square of the famous Carouge's fountains, at the corner of Vibert Street and Boulevard des Promenades. Popular and contemporary, completely renovated in 2013, BDT offers its fresh products menu 7 days a week. From the entrance, on the left, 2 large steel tanks majestically have pride of place. One of the tanks is used for cooking and the second as a filter, and 9 fermenters of 1,000 litres do the rest of the work in the basement. For those who love local and brewed-on-site beers, this is where you need to sit, in a contemporary and refined atmosphere. You will be introduced to La Carougeoise, the only craft beer of Carouge, coming in dark, amber, lager. To keep its entire authenticity and its freshness, it is not filtered and non pasteurised. And the craftl beers come in several aromas and flavours under the names of La Douze27, La K-Rouge, Tutti Frutti, Amarillo, La Noirette. Accompanied by a dish on the black board for lunch, or a Heidi burger, it is a place of discovery within local craft!

BRASSERIE DU CHÂTEAU
Read moreOne of Lausanne's favourite bars, for its six beers produced on site, in the microbrewery, as well as for its very good pizzas that you can enjoy until closing time. Built on two levels, the Brasserie du Château has a relatively quiet ground floor, while the first floor is always crowded and lively. If you want a table, you will first have to be patient with a beer at the bar: La Rousse is always a great success! A few concerts are organised from time to time.
AU ROI UBU
Read moreMythical. One of the oldest pubs in the city where you come for its large choice of beers - about twenty -, and its opening days. It can indeed be difficult to find a bar in the old town that is open on Monday evenings until 2am. Even complaints from the neighbourhood about the noise caused by the comings and goings of King Ubu have not been able to dethrone this institution. You will love the decoration of the place, mixing the wood of the furniture with the warmth of whitewashed walls, its seventies rock music, but also its friendly atmosphere.
KON-TIKI
Read moreThe Kon-Tiki in the Niederdorf district gained a cult following in the 1970s thanks to its Hawaiian ambience, Maori prints and cocktails served in mask-shaped glasses. Threatened with closure, it was taken over in 2016 by customers who appreciated the cosmopolitan feel of the place and made a few improvements. The bar is now open during the day. You can grab a snack, buy and consume CBD, attend a jam night or stand up. It's a bar for adventurers and those who want to become adventurers.
MR PICKWICK PUB
Read moreIn this pub in the colours of Scotland, everyone orders his beer - be Switzerland, Danish, German or Belgian - in English. There is a football game, or a concert of a local group, but the place counts mainly football fans… and beer!
