HÔTEL DES GRANDS LACS
Read moreThe time seems to have stopped there. It's a little old but remarkably preserved and fascinating in some respects. Even if it's going to be with comfort in effect in the 60 s. But renovation work is underway to ensure that the 56 rooms are operational and in a proper condition. Special character also in the beautiful dining room. All in a green setting in the city centre. Advice to histoires: In the 50 s the King Baudouin would have stayed in the 11 s…
VIP PALACE HÔTEL
Read moreConveniently located near the center and the airport, it is one of the best values in Goma, with excellent value for money and professional service for many years. The rooms are well appointed in a quiet environment. A new wing has just been built below with 25 brand new rooms, wooden floors, beautiful terraces overlooking the lake, meeting rooms and all the necessary comforts. And of course a swimming pool. But the VIP Palace is also well known for its two restaurants.
LINDA HÔTEL
Read moreAnother well known name, the Linda Hotel with its pink facade and its blue windows. Pleasant location facing Lake Kivu near the Great Barrier. But a question comes to mind: is it an impression or is this hotel permanently undergoing expansion and renovation? So, check beforehand, because when you think of work, you think of noise and dust. It's a pity, because for the rest, there are only positive things, as much for the rooms, for the swimming pool, for the quality of the menus in the restaurant and globally for the whole of the services.
CAP KIVU HÔTEL
Read moreWith the Ihusi, it is the other local mastondonte affected by the syndrome of gigantism. 70 rooms of varying size, location and comfort. One gets lost in the maze of alleys, stairs and corridors... Block 2 directly overlooks the lake (superior category rooms). The whole, in spite of some faults of taste and usual defects in the finishes, is rather impressive and well located. The ML restaurant and the Marinette terrace offer a nice menu for small and big appetites. The party and meeting rooms complete the offer of Cap Kivu.
PALACE BEAU-SITE HÔTEL
Read moreBeautiful longevity for the hotel of Georges Economides, the pattern of Greek origin known as Barabas. Its hotel has valuable assets, including its central location. And despite the somewhat austere facade, the interior is pretty nicely decorated in brown and orange tones. Prefer the front rooms, which have recently been renovated, and which do not overlook the central patio (bar, billiards…). The hotel also has a restaurant "The Brussels". A family atmosphere, a little retro, which also makes its charm.
GARAMBA GUEST LODGE
Read moreOpened since June 2010, this lodge is managed by a Spanish, Nuria Ortega. She has lived there for many years alongside the park manager, also in Spanish, Luis Arranz. This is undoubtedly the most beautiful establishment in the entire DRC. We hope that tourism will boost tourism in a region which is unfortunately forgotten by operators. Finally, the rates of the ten chalets with bathroom are most reasonable, if one looks at the proposed benefit, and in relation to the team's will to attract visitors.
HOTEL LES CASCADES
Read moreBefore entering Mbanza-Ngungu direction Matadi, near the top of the coast, leave the RN 1 and turn right. Leave the car and pass the grid. No waterfall on the horizon but a nice pink facade with a terrace with a granito. Monochrome (red or blue) rooms are a little fizzled and will inspire more for a 5 to 7 galant than for a restorative night.
