AFAGNB (ASSOCIATION FRANÇAISE DE L'ÂNE GRAND NOIR DU BERRY)

Cultural association

What better than a fair to observe, compare, debate and bargain? This event was initiated by the folk group of the Thiaulins de Lignières, the historic cradle of the Black Black Donkey of Berry, to save this mules breed. Traditionally, the Donkey Grand Black du Berry is the animal par excellence par excellence. It was used for ploughing, the work of the vine, the coupling of small carriages, and firing the barges on the Berry Canal. In 1985, when this fair began, it's only 45 Great Black Blacks that were presented. But very quickly, this gathering took place and in 1989, we could count 140 donkeys. Today, more than 200 donkeys are presented by their owner, amateur or professional from all over France, but also from neighbouring countries. You can also discover all the other races of donkeys and mules. The program, race competition and coupling competition. Many stalls related to the mules activity are located on the Place-de-Foire square and on the adjacent streets. A snack is also at your disposal to refresh yourself, as in general, at Pentecost, it is rather hot! A friendly atmosphere, where the meetings go well. In any case, the Thiaulins have been successful since 1994, the Âne Grand Black du Berry is an officially recognized race and is even the second mules race in France.

LESBIENNE ET GAY HOSPITALITE ET ECHANGE INTERNATIONAL

Cultural association

This network of lesbians and gay people ready to offer each other hospitality during travel has 500 members (of which about 80 in France), spread in 30 countries. Born in 1991, she aims at the exchange of hospitality. The host offers a place to sleep - from the futon to the guest room. By welcoming someone at home, you can be welcomed back home. Beware, it is not a pay service. Each spring, a directory of members is published and distributed (exclusively) to the members up to date in their contributions. An update of this directory is published in the fall. A member planning to travel consults the directory and contact the member (s) in whom he or she wishes to stay. It is obvious that last minute solicitations are not always very popular and that there is a risk of a refusal. Members are required to respond to all requests for accommodation, whether the answer is positive or not. It is requested to limit a request for accommodation to two nights. Thus, if you have no affinity with your host, the embarrassment is limited (and they also feel more comfortable to accommodate). On the other hand, the host has the pleasure of offering guests the opportunity to extend their stay, which often happens.

SOS HOMOPHOBIE

Cultural association

SOS Homophobia is an association of 1901 anti-homophobic and anti-profiteering acts. Created on 11 April 1994 and based in Paris, SOS Homophobia has developed several regional delegations (www.sos-homophobie.org/delegations-regionales) to ensure the relay of its interventions and actions to combat homophobia with a view to better acceptance of the diversity of sexual orientations and to fight for the visibility and equal rights of LGBT people. SOS Homophobia is convinced that the fight against homophobia requires an ambitious prevention policy (www.sos-homophobie.org/prevenir-lhomophobie): explain diversity, reassure, raise awareness of the acceptance of sexual orientation and gender identity. Many awareness-raising tools are prepared and proposed in particular in school settings (www.sos-homophobie.org/interventions-en-milieu-scolaire/interventions-en-milieu-scolaire), in various professional contexts (www.sos-homophobie.org/interventions-et-formations-pour-adultes) and event. To conduct its operations, SOS Homophobia conducts actions on several fronts thanks to the efforts of a dozen groups and commissions (www.sos-homophobie.org/fonctionnement-de-lassociation). A listening line (www.sos-homophobie.org/ligne-decoute), moderated by trained activists, is open daily so that victims and witnesses of homophobic or transphobes acts can obtain information, attentive listening or reporting. A group dedicated to online testimonials (www.sos-homophobie.org/temoigner) allows victims to contact the association via the website. Finally, SOS homophobia can accompany victims in daily affairs and the association is empowered to become a civil party to victims of homophobic acts. SOS Homophobia also conducts actions to prevent homophobia and transphobie with the Commission Intervention in the School Environment (www.sos-homophobie.org/interventions-en-milieu-scolaire/interventions-en-milieu-scolaire) to dismantle stereotypes and ideas received which form the breeding ground for homophobia in school. The Commission Intervention and Vocational Training for Adults (www.sos-homophobie.org/interventions-et-formations-pour-adultes) work to integrate the fight against homophobic discrimination into professional practices. The Lesbophobie Commission (www.sos-homophobie.org/commission-lesbophobie) combating specific discrimination against lesbians by creating information and communication media and participating in round tables, debates, events… The Commission'adolescents and homophobia ' (www.sos-homophobie.org/adolescence-et-homophobie) offers specific support via its website (www.cestcommeca.net) which makes available information, testimonies, cultural resources, etc. SOS homophobia conducts surveys and surveys, identifies and analyzes several publications (www.sos-homophobie.org/nos-publications), such as the Annual Report on Homophobia (www.sos-homophobie.org/rapportannuel), the Practical Guide to Homophobia (www.sos-homophobie.org/guide-pratique) and a survey on lesbophobie (www.sos-homophobie.org/enquete-sur-la-lesbophobie/enquete-sur-la-lesbophobie).
