Mutual aid between neighbors

Located near the fire station, this safe haven welcomes all those who are looking for a moment of conviviality, solidarity and mutual assistance. EMMAÜS

Mutual aid between neighbors

The Emmaus reflex! This is the right common sense. You install in a new dwelling, you organise a party, you're looking for an original gift, you need a wardrobe, office, books. Think of Emmaus. Besides doing good business - or even very good business like robots at 5 €, 50-cent BD, etc. - you participate in the reintegration of people in difficulty and in the preservation of the environment by recycling these objects most often in perfect condition!

Emmaus Touraine, in Esvres, spreads in a nice hangar where the smile is free and mutual help! Behind the building, outside, the wonders to retyping were completely with. You will find as many jars as strollers.

And don't forget to bring your toys, clothes, furniture, and others our the cellar and will certainly make someone else happy.

LES RESTOS DU CŒUR

Mutual aid between neighbors

The Restos du Coeur de l'Isère, it's more than 23 000 people welcomed and nearly 3 000 000 meals distributed, 1 000 volunteers. That's good, but do you think it's normal? The long-term disappearance of the Restos du Coeur was Coluche's wish. No more Restos, no more people on the street or in need, no more people who are hungry! While waiting for poverty and precariousness to diminish, let's all show solidarity by helping the Restos du Coeur by making donations or by becoming a volunteer. You can also help by taking part in the association's activities: food distribution, street activities, school support, help for mothers with the Restos bébé...

RESTAURANTS DU CŒUR 44

Mutual aid between neighbors

Jean-Michel, the president, and the 2,000 volunteers of the Restos du coeur du 44, are there to support people in need, thanks to the various food distribution centers (Dalby, Bénélux...), but that's not all. Restos du coeur de Loire-Atlantique bend over backwards to help, to alleviate everyday worries. With employment advice and workshops, but also well-being (access to a hairdresser) and emergency accommodation with the Maison de Coluche. Not forgetting participation in cultural events, such as the Bal des Restos to be held in June 2022 at the Warehouse in Nantes. Several solidarity initiatives have also been launched, such as the "Plante la vie" operation with Nantes et vous TV and the Edouard Nignon Institute in summer 2022: the aim? Nantes residents buy seeds and shrubs to put flowers in their homes, balconies and communities, and in exchange, the funds raised will finance the purchase of a refrigerated truck for the Restos, which is essential for logistics! La grande Tombola des Restos en 2023, has been supported by donor partners with the aim of raising funds.

How can you help? Become a volunteer and help out with reception, food distribution, supplies, administrative work - all skills are welcome. And donate money: there's no such thing as a small donation. 10 euros means 10 meals, so every euro counts. Visit their website regularly and become a volunteer or support Restos du coeur financially. Coluche and his sons (volunteers among volunteers!) thank us.

LA TENTE DES GLANEURS

Mutual aid between neighbors

La Tente des Glaneurs is a wonderful solidarity adventure, a human and solidarity-based initiative in Lille initiated by Jean-Loup Lemaire, nicknamed the "Coluche of the North", in 2010. Every Sunday, the association and its volunteers collect unsold goods from shopkeepers at the famous Wazemmes market and redistribute them to people in need of food. The operation is carried out in good spirits and with dignity. The "Glaneurs" have a stand where they sort and display fruit, vegetables, canned goods, coffee and even flowers. At the end of the market, people line up and the produce is distributed free of charge and fairly according to household composition. No proof of income is required. It's all about sharing and trust. All this while avoiding food waste. The association is catching on and expanding to several other towns in France. It has received numerous awards, and we applaud the initiative!

LA RECYCLADE

Mutual aid between neighbors

La Recyclade could be summed up in three words: collect, recycle and sell, but that would be too simplistic for this fine initiative. The two solidarity boutiques (in the Bourroches and Montmuzard districts) are brimming with second-hand items at very low prices. The idea is to give a second life to furniture, clothes and all kinds of objects dropped off. They are either sold as they are, because they are in good condition, or they are reused, transformed and diverted in the workshop. La Recyclade also organizes "transformation" and "creation" workshops. The aim: to reduce waste and create jobs. Please note that membership is required to benefit from these workshops!

EMMAUS GRENOBLE

Mutual aid between neighbors

Emmaüs is nothing new. And it's worth remembering the action taken by Abbé Pierre during the terrible winter of 1954 to help the most destitute. Emmaüs, founded in 1949, continues its work today, notably with the famous Compagnons who continue to clear out your attics and salvage objects for resale. The originality of this store is that it's right in the center of town, a second-hand store that makes it easier for everyone to take part in this spirit of solidarity, but also to make good bargains at low prices (discount for 16/26 year-olds). New boutique in the Carrefour Echirolles shopping mall. Strong social solidarity.

LES BUREAUX DU COEUR

Mutual aid between neighbors

Les Bureaux du Coeur is an association whose aim is to provide housing for people in precarious situations, known as guests. Guests are accommodated in the offices of its corporate members, known as hosts, in the evenings and at weekends. As their offices are heated and equipped (kitchen, WC, washbasins, often shower), the Centre des Jeunes Dirigeants Nantes has decided to welcome people in precarious situations to their premises when they are no longer in use. This implies precise rules: a set of specifications is drawn up for the selection by the associations of the people hosted by the companies. Each company hosts a single person, called "guest" as there is no charge, for a defined period of time. The company provides the guest with a bed, a wardrobe, the employees' kitchen area and bathroom facilities. Les Bureaux du Coeur thus gives people access to individual accommodation, brings them closer to the corporate world, enables them to socialize, benefit from the solidarity of employees and sometimes from the contacts of managers. Les Bureaux du Coeur's work is simple, inexpensive and, above all, very supportive and humane.

Mutual aid between neighbors

The work of the Swiss Henry Dunant, begun in 1859 at the battle of Solferino to rescue soldiers from both sides, continues its path of aid and peace. The Rhone Red Cross, among the hundred or so departmental delegations of this association, acts in the field of emergencies, solidarity, health and provides first aid training to all those who wish to learn about life-saving gestures on a daily basis or in exceptional situations. Among its other missions, listening, food aid, aid to refugees or the SAMU social. You can become a volunteer and contribute to the many actions of the Red Cross.
